    • CP – 40-1 odds that Wolfie bothers to even call GA……1000-1 that he is nominated for The Pulitzer Prize, in my lifetime……forget about him ever winning one….

  3. All this talk about how great a 2 QB system will be – has a WR ever won the Heisman with 2 guys throwing the ball? LOL!

    • Who really cares about individual awards?…….Dude will probably be a top 15 pick the NFL draft next year and be set for life, financially…..do you know how many Heisman Trophy winners are in the NFL Hall of Fame?….a total of eight, with two of them being USC Trojans (OJ Simpson and Marcus Allen)….

        • Not at the expense of the team winning. …..I must have missed that part of the “How to be a Trojan Fan” seminar. ….Thank you for enlightening me……

  4. Let’s take a look at the relevant odds out of bovada:

    To win national championship:
    Alabama 2 1/2:1
    SC 40:1
    ucla 50:1

    To win Pac-12 Southern Division:
    SC 2 1/4: 1
    ucla 2 1/2:1

    To win Pac-12 Conference:
    Oregon 1 3/4:1
    Stanford 4 1/2:1
    SC 5:1
    ucla 7 1/2:1

Hence, despite all the pre-season negativity about SC, Troy is the betting favorite to have a better season than ucla.

And Alabama is no lock for the national title i.e. according to the betting odds, it has less than a 30% chance of repeating.

    • “betting favorite to have a better season than UCLA”…YUP….Just like last year!
BAMBI at QB, Silas (Coach I’m Hurt) Redd injured, depleted “O” line,…….Everything is JUST LIKE LAST YEAR. “It’s DEJA VU all over again”.
      fit UN torgans!

      • 3:00am, trolling the blog, talking shlt….BEYOND PATHETIC!

    • ……Bucket…please don’t exacerbate in public……props?…. for what?….for being a prop in a comedy skit?…..and why can’t Wolf defend himself?… heck, he could really care less about what we say/think/write about him….ignorance bliss…. good for him…..

it’s like a someone who watches a TV show over and over agains yet complains how infuriatingly bad the show is!!! e.g. those “housewife” TV shows or such!!

  6. Well, marvgoux1, there is a serious problem at quarterback with the ‘ruins having beat us last year with a pretty effective kid, and the prospects this year of a repeat

  7. I think those odds are not long enough, given USC’s vulnerability to injury, question marks at key positions, new QB or QBs, etc.

It’s good to live in the realm of the possible. How about a (1) playing each game with strong strategy, effort, and focus and (2) beating the less talented teams, and (3) giving the more-or-less equally strong teams a run for their money?
