Thursday Night With Lane Kiffin

Here’s some of Lane Kiffin’s comments from his weekly radio show:

“We came out of that game saying our passing game was horrible but we played great defense and ran ball well. We just screwed up one area.”

“After that game, I felt like the world was over.”

“I got no issues with (booing) at all.”

      • The booing has apparently already started…..and the “Fire Kiffin” chants are predictable, as well….

      • Be fair. Based on past success, it will be a risky 30-yard bubble screen resulting in either a one-yard gain or a two-yard loss.

  1. Bullsh!t Lane. There should have been no smiles after the game (like there were in your presser), and there should be no jokes. I’m starting to feel bad for you trojans.

  2. All the ra rah sunshiners need to calm down. We still have 11 games to go this season. Our D is on a roll. Expect a lot more picks and hard stops from them. Fight ON!

  3. They ran the ball well ? Huh ? This idiot is reaching at imaginary thoughts. Note to Lane “The Idiot” Kiffin…..You were playing Washington State, everybody will run the ball well against them !!!! Dummy !! Is this Guy for real ?

      • I guess unless it happened against a Top 25 school, it doesn’t count……and that’s really a shame because it gives absolutely zero credit or respect to the USC offense, especially Tre Madden, or the WSU defense……

  4. I remember writing about Polamalu’s firing and how it would have detrimental effects on the team and it would take a huge toll on players morale. Now I have no doubt it’s taking a toll.
Marvin Sanders departure has also hurt the team’s morale.

    • How is Polamalu’s firing effecting the passing game?
Marvin Sanders departure was a blessing in disguise, he’s been reduced to coaching HS football.

Outside of the QB position, where are the morale issues?

    • I totally agree, Kennedy Polamalu was the true USC Coach on that staff, what he brought to that team was Trojan pride that no other Coach on that staff has. Politics plays such a big role in selecting a Coach, but if it didn’t Polamalu would have been a Great Trojan Coach. His resume is much more impressive then Lane Kiffin’s ever was, it’s just that Kiffin had the political connections and is a great con artist . Well guess what ? He has been exposed !!! And will continue to be exposed as the losses pile up this season …..and believe me they will !!

        • Well he was obviously a great asset because Lane Kiffin went to such great lengths to obtain his services that he risked a lawsuit against USC. Now why Kennedy Polamalu got fired I just don’t know because I’m not an insider, but there were rumors. I do know he was one of the better recruiters in the Southland because all of the local High School Coaches loved him, and I would not be surprised if he is on the new Coaching Staff at USC whenever that occurs .

          • ” I’m not an insider”

Hey betomas someone is calling on you….and no, just’s not a dirty shitter!

          • Coach Pola was great and he did help out the team. I think we would be doing better off if he was still a part of the team. Best running backs coach even through the trials weve been going through.

  5. We just screwed up one area? What about special teams? Heidari missed a field goal and had another blocked and we lost by 3 points!

  6. You guys are so down, it’s almost as if the job of Bruin truth-tellers is done here. Almost…

  7. The offense needs to do like they did to Bud Kilmer in Varsity Blues. Just kick his butt out and start running the offense themselves.

    Heck, run the ooptie oop.

  8. The passing game isn’t horrible it’s the play calling…or lack there of. How about throwing to the tight end, faking the bubble screen and throwing down the field, throwing between the hash marks etc. I’m so tired of the lack of creativity.
