What do you think? This game was an improvement even if it did not seem a huge step forward.

some great play calling all up in this game. Fight ON!!
It did seem a huge step forward.
Seriously? It’s Boston College. Let’s see how they play against Utah St and then on the road at ASU.
You can only beat the team you are playing. USC played very well for the first time since the Arizona game last year. Acknowledge and enjoy it. Tomorrow they prepare for a likely tougher opponent and we can see if they take another step forward. After last week I wondered if they’d win again this year. At least now we know the team is capable of improvement. Just how much will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Did you actually watch the game? We have a great defense but seriously, BC was pathetic on offense. If we play an even slightly competent team we might have been losing at half.
Go cry in a corner
…..and don’t forget your glass….haha!
Badly needed win for the Trojans, but on the downside, it did rather perpetuate the stereotype of USC fans as spoiled and classless. I know USC has many great fans, but the idiots in the bunch are running away more recruits than Kiffin’s playcalling ever could…
what are you talking about? what fans are ruunning away more recruits? at the Coli?
The Uscpsycho dipsh*t, for one. Happy to see the kids go out there and shove it up his you know what for quitting on the team. F that guy!
Totally agree. What an @ $ $ hole
What tent? What did it say?
It was bucket relocating, pathetic!
What would be a huge step forward if not that? 70-0? Was this a game they would’ve been expected to win more easily than they did even if they played well last week? I doubt it.
I guess “players only meetings” never work….
So what if its “only” Boston College? Last week it was “only” Washington State. There was much better play calling this week. To me, THAT right there is the most important improvement which was needed. FIGHT ON!
All I know is that all the hype behind Tre Madden before his injury last year was legit. Davis– also as advertised. If that O-line can really come together and give Kessler time to throw, this team could have a good year.
Defense was, of course, steller again. Those guys look seriously pumped and are playing with a lot of pride.
Wolf still unhappy? Huge, medium, small, whatever, it was great to see the offense throw downfield, use the tight ends, throw to the backs, and let the QB’s run. To me, a vast improvement, and of course, the defense was again the best in the nation. RahRah Fight on.
I was pleasantly surprised. I don’t think I heard any booing at all, either.
Lane Kiffin should get credit for this game. What I like about this team is they really want to be a team and they like and support each other. Both lines are trying to punch holes. Another thing I like is they dont try to run up the score like Oregon.
Not a huge step forward after last week? Dropped a nugget in your shorts on that one, Scott. Big improvement over last week in the air and on the ground.
Bucket wears Depends to help with the nuggets dropping…..stinky!
Nothing could be worse than the mess he left in shitter #2. It was so bad, betomas had to call in a haz mat team
Hooray! Trogies beat BC and lane lives to coach another week…which is what we ALL want, right?
For this ONE GAME ONLY I was actually pulling for Kiff after seeing how the idiot trOXans disrespected their own team.
Cadre, forgive me for showing weakness. I am prepared to submit my resignation from the Executive Council.
How about putting a gun to the cranium, that dementia is terminal.
Why couldn’t we have played like this last week?
Good question, I’m still scratching my head!
Because WSU is a better team, and BC is not very good.
Dude, go put your head back in the hole!
IMHO it was a combination of
1) Kiffin’s more aggressive playcalling.
2) better blocking
3) a lower quality opponent
This was the best game USC has played in a long time. I had no problem with the play calling, surprisingly.
As far as the wolfman goes, fuc that idiot!
Hey bucket, third finger in, sit and spin. One more thing, did you sell a lot of peanuts?
Me too..actually thought the game plan and play calling were good. I don’t think I counted a single bubble screen all day!
Just the one to Agholor but at least he was the inside rather than the outside receiver. So even that had a different look.
If we play bad teams like that every week we will run the table.
You glass in empty, let me fill it up. Wait, my zipper is stuck!
Is it true your favorite song of all time is Helen Reddy’s “I am Woman?”.
You big smelly CU&T!
fit UN torgan!
Don’t be dissin’ my sister.
Great weekend: pUSC beats the powderpuff eaglets, thus strengthening Kitten’s job position–at least until the fair-weather alumni decide to start up the classless “Fire Kitten” chant in pUSC’s next loss (on Sept 28 against a better ASU team). Meanwhile, the superior team, UCLA, goes into Lincoln, battles back after a 21-3 deficit to manhandle the Cornhuskers, scoring 38 unanswered pts.
Why were you down 21-3?

Agree that it was an improvement, USC played better offensively. But, let’s not get carried away. Each week will provide a tougher test, this schedule is pretty good in that respect. We’ll learn more about USC on both sides of the ball this coming Saturday and the following Saturday at ASU. Really nice to see USC play more like USC. DIdn’t it seem like someone else was doing the play calling?
17 pts given up in 2 weeks and 7 was a pick six…let these quarterbacks play. I definitely blame Kiffin for last week’s loss but the defense has been fantastic. 10 penalties has to change….tough games coming up
