  • wow! is this another “From 1 to UN” situation???

  • UCLA Owns the Rose Bowl

Hundley’s odds have improved each week, from 100/1, 50/1, and now 18/1. In the other direction, Lee has gone from a top contender to 150/1.

    • Trojan Hoarse

Yes, Hundley’s stock is certainly skyrocketing…. I wouldn’t be surprised to seem him bolt for the NFL after this season……..

      • UCLA Owns the Rose Bowl

He’s of age, so it’s possible. Unlike Lee, who had to come back this year.

        • Trojan Hoarse

Yup… neither one of them have anything left to prove…..

          • UCLA Owns the Rose Bowl

UCLA beat reporter Jack Wang had this to say this morning about Hundley turning pro after this season:

“He’s a legitimate prospect already, and you’ll only see the national attention grow as the season goes on. I still think he stays unless he’s a sure top-five pick, but even then I could see him returning the way Sam Bradford and Andrew Luck did. The argument that he shouldn’t chance injury or seeing his stock drop (a la Matt Barkley, Matt Leinart) is legitimate, but I feel like Hundley’s tools are impressive enough that the risk of the latter is low.”

          • Trojan Hoarse

Yes, I read the same report earlier today…….I personally think that the $$$ will be too much for him to resist, especially with few elite QB prospects coming out this year…

From Chris Burke of SI yesterday:

UCLA’s quarterback, Brett Hundley, is doing the same (as Anthony Barr) at his position. The 2014 QB class is Teddy Bridgewater and everyone else at this point, but Hundley may be atop that non-Bridgewater group.

The reasons why were evident Saturday, even if Hundley’s performance was a bit lethargic in the first half. He still finished the game with 355 total yards (294 passing, 61 rushing) and three TDs. Just a redshirt sophomore, Hundley has that exciting dual-threat game that has become all the rage in the NFL, thanks to QBs like Russell Wilson, Robert Griffin III and Colin Kaepernick.

Hundley may be capable of stepping in next season and delivering the type of impact that those signal-callers did, too. He plays a very smooth game in the pocket, with more than enough athleticism to break contain or execute option plays. Nebraska found out first-hand just how talented he is Saturday, just in case the Cornhuskers did not remember Hundley shredding them last September.

Lee will come back and revive the “Unfinished Business” T-Shirts!

Did anyone really expect Lee to contend for the Heisman this season with a new QB?

    • ThaiMex

Just the DOZENS of RAH RAH’s who are regular’s here. (BTW….same bunch of CLOWNs that thought Barfy was gonna win the Heisman……yup….you are included!)
      fit UN torgans!

The oddsmakers look at a player’s team, nearly as much as they look at the player. SC will need to make drastic improvements on O to match the play of their stout D, in order to challange for the Pac-12 South v. UCLA and/or ASU. Lee knows his wagon is hitched to Kessler’s star, as well USC’s ability to win at least 9 and receive a respectable bowl bid.

  • Stu Azole

Lee never had a chance. Not sure why ANYONE thought otherwise.

  • WEB_Dupree

Are you, in fact, The Amazing Sneijderman who posts comments on Deadspin, or did you actually steal another man’s comment from that Deadspin story?

  • Trojan Hoarse

You are an exceptional tool yourself…….God you blow……….

Anthony Barr should pop on this list next week. He had 11 tackles, including 2 TFL, and forced three fumbles against the Huskers. And named Pac 12 Player of the Week
