SHAQ Bruins wide receiver Shaq Evans was on 710-AM and made quite a few comments about USC. Among the excerpts:
“Knowing that we’re going to beat them again this year . . . Especially two years ago when they beat us 50-0. We owe them a little bit. This year, we’re going to try to embarrass them, honestly.
They’re struggling, it’s just awesome to see that. I hate them. So I’m just loving it.
“I’ve always hated them.”

    • I guess it’s not considered bragging, if you can back it up…….November 30th…..Kid is going to be fair catching the ball all day long……even on passes thrown his way!…Can’t wait for Cravens to level this punk on a crossing route……

    • Funny how times have changed. SC now needs BB material in September to get amped for a UCLA game at the end of November. Like losing last year and watching Barfly end his career in a heap of twitching flesh on the Rose Bowl carpet wasn’t enough. LOL.

          • Still no class, I see… at least you’re consistent…Maybe I played, maybe I didn’t…. quite frankly, it’s none of your business…..BTW….a much better hit was Rey Maualuga on FUCLA QB Patrick Cowan…everytime I watch it, it puts a smile on my face…..And just because our LT missed his block on the play last year, I wouldn’t give Mr. Barr too much credit….

          • Difference is that Pat bounced right back up. Barfly twitched and cried and his last opportunity to lead a quality comeback ended in pain.

            But back to this “we”. You said “we don’t need any BB material…” Who is this WE? Are you so off that you actually think you’re a player? LOL!

          • It’s actually pretty sad that some people take this stuff so serious they actually wish injuries on the other team.

            I have a feeling that if it was USC that had the recent death on our side you’d also gloat over it, right?

            Bottom line is that these are KIDS that played at many of our local high schools. Even Brett Hunley’s dad was cool enough to stop by our tailgate last year and say hello.

            I love USC, but do I wish Hunley would have a career ending injury or one that would diminish his draft status? Heck no.

            As I said many times here, I have plenty of buddies who are Bruins. We do this rivalry stuff in good fun. However, what I’ve realized is that the idiots (on both sides) that take it too seriously are usually the ones who don’t have ANY friends. Everyone usually has a friend or relative at the other school and it puts things into perspective.

    • He’s the guy that Transferred/was released from Notre Dame and was also the GAMES SECOND LEADING receiver last November when UCLA SPANKED U Stupid Clowns (remember?). You might have heard of another couple of guys that BAILED on Notre Dame and ended up at UCLA. Joe Fauria (tight end for Detroit Lions) scored a T.D. against U Stupid Clowns last November in the 1st qtr. putting UCLA up 17-ZIP (Remember?). You remember what BARR did to Barney don’t you? Well, there’s this freshman guy named EDDIE VANDERDOES, who was recruited by EVERYONE (incl. SCUm). He originally signed with N.D. but ended up at UCLA. He’s gonna be around for a couple of years. You’ll remember him.

  9. You’ve got to love that – a guy putting his sack on the line. When was the last time we heard that from Westwood? Maybe 15 years ago? It’s great to see them puff out their chests a little bit. Only helps SC, but it raises the stakes in a game that needs to be more relevant than it’s been for a very long time. Wasn’t it the late 80’s when Notre Dame, SC, and UCLA were all in the top 5 with a couple games left to play? Would love to get back there – well, without Notre Dame, that is.

    • I agree… narrow victories over quality and highly ranked opponents are much more satisfying than blowing out an overmatched patsy 50-0…….just ask the powder blue boys after last year and after their 13-9 upset of us a number of years ago……they are still gloating around town (and on this blog) over that one….November 30th…..we will be implementing the Shaq Attack…..

  10. Bruins should win. Better coach and QB. I do think Kiffin has figured some things out and the Wazzu loss was a total fluke.

    • Performance of the defense and special teams matter, too….we will know a lot more about USC’s defense this weekend after playing against a spread offense with a pretty decent read option QB…….

  14. Is SC really supposed to be offended by this? Wouldn’t you be thinking the same things if you were in this kid’s shoes? Not that it was wise to just put it out there on the radio.

    • It’s one thing to think it, and another thing to say it. I just hate given any team bulletin board fodder.

  15. Seeing the way Coach Jim Mora has been running things I would not be a bit surprised if Shaq Evans finds himself on the bench for a qtr or two for having a “Big Mouth” !!! or at the very least running a few laps.
