UCLA WR Shaq Evans Blasts USC

SHAQ Bruins wide receiver Shaq Evans was on 710-AM and made quite a few comments about USC. Among the excerpts:
“Knowing that we’re going to beat them again this year . . . Especially two years ago when they beat us 50-0. We owe them a little bit. This year, we’re going to try to embarrass them, honestly.
They’re struggling, it’s just awesome to see that. I hate them. So I’m just loving it.
“I’ve always hated them.”

  • TrojanConquest

This just reflects poorly on him.

    • Stu Azole

      Does it? I LOVE IT!

      • TrojanConquest

How about having some class and humility? That’s right, I’m on Wolf’s site.

  • Paul Hackett

Mr Evans is a few IQ points short of double digits

    • Stu Azole

Still smart enough to know SC’s a train wreck under Lane!

      • Trojan Hoarse

        Azhole can’t even spell IQ……

  • tommy

too bad no one hates him back. he wouldn’t even play over Flournoy for SC.

    • gotroy22

True, we are wasting so much talent at WR with no one to throw them the ball…

  • ThaiMex

Kind of TRASHY…picking on an UNRANKED Team (oh, wait…he did say good things about New Mexico!)
    fit UN torgans.

  • Golden Trojan

The Feelings Mutual, Evans. FUCLA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You’ll get yours………………

  • TrojanFan

    More bulletin board material….bring it!

Put a muzzle on that kid!

    • Trojan Hoarse

I guess it’s not considered bragging, if you can back it up…….November 30th…..Kid is going to be fair catching the ball all day long……even on passes thrown his way!…Can’t wait for Cravens to level this punk on a crossing route……

    • Stu Azole

Funny how times have changed. SC now needs BB material in September to get amped for a UCLA game at the end of November. Like losing last year and watching Barfly end his career in a heap of twitching flesh on the Rose Bowl carpet wasn’t enough. LOL.

      • Trojan Hoarse

We don’t need any BB material to get amped for a UCLA game…..but it certainly adds fuel to the fire……

        • Stu Azole

“we”? Do you play? Are you on the team? Man, I had no idea. Thanks so much for taking the time here. LOL, clown! And let’s be honest – best hit EVER!

          • Trojan Hoarse

Still no class, I see… at least you’re consistent…Maybe I played, maybe I didn’t…. quite frankly, it’s none of your business…..BTW….a much better hit was Rey Maualuga on FUCLA QB Patrick Cowan…everytime I watch it, it puts a smile on my face…..And just because our LT missed his block on the play last year, I wouldn’t give Mr. Barr too much credit….

          • Stu Azole

Difference is that Pat bounced right back up. Barfly twitched and cried and his last opportunity to lead a quality comeback ended in pain.

But back to this “we”. You said “we don’t need any BB material…” Who is this WE? Are you so off that you actually think you’re a player? LOL!

          • Trojan Hoarse

I won’t even give you the satisfaction Azole…. you’re a coward and a cyber bully hiding behind your computer monitor…..if not, then meet me at the Bo’s Cigars tent on Saturday before the game and we can discuss this face-to-face like grown men…..

          • this reminds me of the legendary arranged fight between Bruin Rob and Nobs…..only Nobs famously took the cowards way out and no-showed!!! classic!! the Cadre never forgets!!

          • Trojan Hoarse

Who said that this was a fight, Bucket?….just a civilized conversation over a cigar, that’s all…….(chortle)

          • Stu Azole

LOL. I’ve got a real team to go watch! BOOM!

          • Trojan Hoarse

Yes, that team from New Mexico is the real deal, aren’t they?

          • Cheap seats

It’s actually pretty sad that some people take this stuff so serious they actually wish injuries on the other team.

I have a feeling that if it was USC that had the recent death on our side you’d also gloat over it, right?

Bottom line is that these are KIDS that played at many of our local high schools. Even Brett Hunley’s dad was cool enough to stop by our tailgate last year and say hello.

I love USC, but do I wish Hunley would have a career ending injury or one that would diminish his draft status? Heck no.

As I said many times here, I have plenty of buddies who are Bruins. We do this rivalry stuff in good fun. However, what I’ve realized is that the idiots (on both sides) that take it too seriously are usually the ones who don’t have ANY friends. Everyone usually has a friend or relative at the other school and it puts things into perspective.

          • Bill

What was the score of that game?

          • Trojan Hoarse

            What game was that, Billy?

          • Stu Azole

13-9? All the good hits come during SUC losses.

  • TrojanFamily

Who is Shaq Evans? Never heard of him.

    • ThaiMex

He’s the guy that Transferred/was released from Notre Dame and was also the GAMES SECOND LEADING receiver last November when UCLA SPANKED U Stupid Clowns (remember?). You might have heard of another couple of guys that BAILED on Notre Dame and ended up at UCLA. Joe Fauria (tight end for Detroit Lions) scored a T.D. against U Stupid Clowns last November in the 1st qtr. putting UCLA up 17-ZIP (Remember?). You remember what BARR did to Barney don’t you? Well, there’s this freshman guy named EDDIE VANDERDOES, who was recruited by EVERYONE (incl. SCUm). He originally signed with N.D. but ended up at UCLA. He’s gonna be around for a couple of years. You’ll remember him.

      fit Un Yesterday U!

      • Cheap seats

Ok thanks. And what team did you say they played on?

    • Cheap seats

I think he played for the Lakers with Kobe until they had a falling out.

      • SaferInWestwood

Weak like Lanes offense, he’s still SCUms HCoach right??

  • LamontRaymond

You’ve got to love that – a guy putting his sack on the line. When was the last time we heard that from Westwood? Maybe 15 years ago? It’s great to see them puff out their chests a little bit. Only helps SC, but it raises the stakes in a game that needs to be more relevant than it’s been for a very long time. Wasn’t it the late 80’s when Notre Dame, SC, and UCLA were all in the top 5 with a couple games left to play? Would love to get back there – well, without Notre Dame, that is.

    • Trojan Hoarse

I agree… narrow victories over quality and highly ranked opponents are much more satisfying than blowing out an overmatched patsy 50-0…….just ask the powder blue boys after last year and after their 13-9 upset of us a number of years ago……they are still gloating around town (and on this blog) over that one….November 30th…..we will be implementing the Shaq Attack…..

      • Stu Azole

this would make sense had SC been a highly-ranked and/or quality team last year. SUC ON!

        • Trojan Hoarse

UCLA is a Top 10 team, no?

          • EncinitasBruin

After the Bruins beat up on NMSU this Saturday, they might be. Not yet…not yet.

          • Trojan Hoarse

They really should be a Top 10 team NOW…. it’s a complete joke that THREE SEC teams with one loss are ranked in the Top 12 ahead of UCLA….

  • FreeShabazz

Bruins should win. Better coach and QB. I do think Kiffin has figured some things out and the Wazzu loss was a total fluke.

    • Trojan Hoarse

Performance of the defense and special teams matter, too….we will know a lot more about USC’s defense this weekend after playing against a spread offense with a pretty decent read option QB…….

Remember what happened to Hardy Nickerson when he talked trash? I do.

  • gotroy22

    He thinks he’s Fred-Ex!

  • Last guy I heard talking like that was DeSean

  • WEB_Dupree

Is SC really supposed to be offended by this? Wouldn’t you be thinking the same things if you were in this kid’s shoes? Not that it was wise to just put it out there on the radio.

    • EncinitasBruin

It’s one thing to think it, and another thing to say it. I just hate given any team bulletin board fodder.

  • Fred Sampson

Seeing the way Coach Jim Mora has been running things I would not be a bit surprised if Shaq Evans finds himself on the bench for a qtr or two for having a “Big Mouth” !!! or at the very least running a few laps.

    • SClalum97one

      Well said!

    • EncinitasBruin

Agreed. This is immature, stupid behavior. I hope they sit his butt and let Manfro, Lucien, and Fuller shine at the RB this Saturday night.

  • Independent_George

Can’t get too worked up over the bleatings of a college student.

    • Trojan Hoarse

For the benefit of the Cadre:

      a. The characteristic cry of a goat or sheep.

      b. A sound similar to this cry.

      2. A whining, feeble complaint.

      • Bill

Sounds like you know your sheep well!

        • Trojan Hoarse

Not Baaaaaaaaad, Billy….. Not baaaaaaahhhd, at all……

  • big news!!! everyone hates Southern Cal!! this is NOT a sweeep scooop, rather, it is common knowledge!!

so, it’s ON!!! it’s good to have nice down and dirty grudge match every five years or so, it gets rid of the bad blood!!

    my prediction: Paaaaaaaaaaaaaaain!!

trOXans, you shouldda NEVER come back!!!

    • that said, Mora will have this kid’s a$$ in a ringer by lunchtime.

  • Joe Blow

    Too much fried chicken.,

    • Trojan Hoarse

Dude… please don’t go Fuzzy Zoeller on us…..

  • tim chaney

hey shaq, thanks for giving the guys more motivation. i’m sure that quote will be posted everywhere in the Trojan locker room…

    • Trojan Hoarse

I guess guys named Shaq in LA aren’t too bright…. CAAAAAAN YOOOOUUUU DIG IT????!!!

  • trojan4life

A UCLA program out of control. Can’t handle a couple of victories.

  • OCBrewin

hahaha, hillarious! At least SHAQ is man enough to talk smack before the game. Hey SC, you lost to WSU, your street cred is zero.
