Clay Helton Brings Flexible Approach To Offense

Here’s an interesting quote from USC offensive coordinator Clay Helton after practice today.

“You can’t be stubborn and be a three-wide out team if you don’t have three wide outs,” Helton said.

Helton added he will call plays from the sideline to be down with Cody Kessler during games instead of the pressbox.

      • Like I said before, he has a bad case of penis envy, but lives in denial!

I have been trying to convince him the revolver is the way out

      • SUC Family.
The crotch is a area of a m/f body. The noun you lovingly describe is a male only organ. Are you another latent SUC booster? You’re so silly.

  1. I think Kiffin was a little obsessed with wideouts- they always seemed to be the headline position group of his recruiting classes. But you gotta go with what you got.

  2. If your strong point happens to be your running backs then feed them the ball, if your loaded with top notch receivers then throw them the ball. Those are the simple things Lane Kiffin never understood. Two years ago I watched two Junior College All American Offensive Tackles at Saddleback Community College get Scholarships to the University of Oregon and the other to Florida State. Well Kiffin said he did not need either one of them…LOL ! …Really ?? And guess what ? One was a # 1 draft pick to the Chicago Bears and the other was a # 2 pick to the Raiders. That’s what happens when you are an arrogant , stubborn, inexperienced control freak of a head coach. Look for Kiffin to be a position Coach somewhere in the NFL in the near future because that’s all he is.

  3. Mistake. O-coordinators need to be in the “god-spot” up in the booth to see the entire field and what the D is doing. Babysitting the QB is not his job. Seems Kiffin never left the O.
