Ed Orgeron Wants To Raise USC’s Local Profile

USC coach Ed Orgeron and his staff are going to blanket Southern California tonight attending high school football games.
“We’re going to as many games as we can tonight and as many junior college games as we can tomorrow,” Orgeron said. “We’re going back to that mode we need to be visible in Southern California. These guys from Southern California always want to go to USC regardless of the situation. This is still a powerful, powerful place.”

Carroll and Orgeron, I read somewhere, had a friendly competition to see who could visit and talk to more schools and recruits. Good Blueprint.

What happened to Ed last year when our recruiting class imploded?

      • Paul Hackett

Could you recruit with Kiffin as your head man ? After the Sun Bowl , it’s a wonder USC got anyone to sign.

      • Arturo

A lot of things. Maybe you should do some research. Still an awesome class in terms of quality. If they can’t see the quality that SC offers in terms of education and football, well, you can lead a horse to water…

Even if Head Coach Ed Orgeron doesn’t get to keep the HC post his enthusiasm and effort are what should and must be expected from the next hire – what a great guy and a great example maker.

Heisman watch…interesting stat….UCLA Q.B. Brett Huntley has as many T.D. catches (and fewer drops) than Marquise Lee!

      HAWR~~HAWR~~~ Sounds familiar? LMAO!!!

    • Joe Blow

Hundley won’t win it. Trust me. He’s a stiff.

      • ThaiMex

        Matt Barfy???

        fit UN!

      • ProbationU

An old Trojan like you should never use the word stiff.

        • Joe Blow

It’s also a word your wife never used.

    • Arturo

Can’t even spell your own QB’s name right.

  • LamontRaymond

    Love to hear it.

  • Mark

Too late. Ucla is the new local team

    • Arturo

Got that right. SC is a NATIONAL school, Mark. No competition.

      • ProbationU

Yes…Kiffin turned them into a NATIONAL joke. Things will turn around though…these things run in cycles.

  • UCLA Owns the Rose Bowl

L.A. kids don’t want to commit to a program where all the assistants–including Orgeron–could be gone at the end of the season. The guy gets an A for enthusiasm, but the reality is Mora, Mazzone and team now own the L.A. living rooms and high school sidelines.

Besides bucket, you need to also get the cranium checked out….ouch!!
