Linebacker Uchenna Nwosu told Scout.com he was committing to USC tonight. Now here’s where it gets interesting: He was offered by Oregon State, Portland State and Wyoming.

  1. I was JUST KIDDING (sort of) last week when I suggested SUCks might want to consider dropping down to a lesser competitive conference, to regain that lost “SWAGGER”, due to their current BOTTOM DWELLER status in the PAC 12. “Mercy Nurse”….now you’re chasing kids currently being recruited by Wyoming and Portland State? Somebody get recruiting EXPERT/RANCHER “Elmir” on the phone and explain this move. (Chucker…I think we’ve been PLAYED…Goat Boy saved all those scholarships this season so he could load up on a bunch of 1 & 2 stars!!!!)

    fit Un Torgans!

    • LOL a fucla fan talking about how USC should drop to a lesser conference. fucla has been a pac12 doormat since 1955. Sure they’ll have 1 year every 10-15 where they field a decent team.

        • First of all, troy, im glad you haven’t offed yourself yet, i was worried about your there for a bit. Secondly, just because fucla is historically bad, doesn’t mean that USC is always good.

  2. In 2004, a guy named Clay Matthews was a walk on at USC….. so what’s your point, Wolf?…….instead of waffling behind “Now here’s where it gets interesting”, why don’t you just say what it is that you mean???

    • Clay wasn’t that far of a reach when you consider the football genes in the Matthews family.

        • Not sure I would compare Clay with the son of the 2nd best NBA player of all time, but okay.

          • 2nd best eh, you might get some disagreement there. But the point is being athletic doesn’t necessarily get passed on to offspring.

          • The Cap’n is the best. Unfortunately he was a Bruin but that was his only flaw.

    • Hmm, now you’re right, but for every 1 Clay Matthews, there are 1000 2* kids you’ve never heard of and never will. You like those odds, do ya?

    • Rah rahs want it both ways- when we bring in 5 stars they rightly crow but now that we are competing with Portland State (think of it, Portland State!) it means we are finding diamonds in the rough.

      • And the same goes for the trolls, but in reverse — SC’s five-stars will be busts, and offering a scholarship to a kid like this must be a sign of desperation.

        • Yup… the trolls have it all figured out……the glass is always 1/2 full with these dolts….

      • Got-Roy, you are giving these recruiting services WAY too much credit, dude…..and up yours with your incessant rah-rah crap… you’re not a USC fan… never have been, never will… Troll on…..

  3. Too bad he’s a 6’2″ safety @ 185. Need more length in the secondary. (putting up fence around back yard)…

  4. Personally I would rather trust Orgeron and company evaluation of talent than paper-pushers at these rating services who base their rank on number of offers and headlines.

  5. Here come the Trolls!!!..Scott stop pandering to the gutty lil” trolls.. it’s like shooting fish in a barrel! It reminds me of that song…”when Trolls rush in”…If a troll posts a comment in the forest and no one gives a rip did it really matter?????
    TROLL ON!!

  6. This is the Kids first year as a starter and he is undersized, that’s why the Big Schools have not offered yet. Sometimes Coaches can see the potential that your average Fan can’t see, Ed Orgeron did the same thing with former Trojan Mike Patterson , because most Schools ignored him because he was 5’11 270lbs coming out of High School. But guess what ? Patterson was a #1 draft pick of the Eagles 4 years later.

    • Rivals has him listed as a 3* safety with same offers. 6-2/185 sounds like decent size.

      • I said undersize because he’s playing Linebacker , but I guess USC may play him at safty.

  7. If he was going to commit to fucla they would be happy.and bragging about it. Seems as though perhaps somebody can see something in the kid. The great minds here just haven’t looked into it much yet, I am sure they will come around. With a name like that he sounds scarey.

  8. If he runs to the ball, hits, has good instincts, and Coach O has offered, that is all that matters.
