Big Question For USC-Arizona Game?

ORGERON
How will USC adjust to having an enthusiastic, engaged coach who actually watches both sides of the game tomorrow night?

  1. I don’t even understand you anymore. Both sides of the game? What does that even mean?

    • Offense/Defense, what’s happening on the field, not have your nose in the Denny’s menu or chatting up the QB.

      • What about Special Teams? There are 3 “sides of the game”, if that’s the case. Wolfie is just taking another cheap shot at Lane and he misfired. Seriously, have you ever heard both sides of the game? The phrase is 3 phases of football. Wolfie should cover the girls Tennis team if he is this ignorant.

          • You seem to be under the mistaken impression that it is Wolf v Kiffin. In reality, one lost his job, and the other should as well.

          • Exactly. It’s unbelievable. I bet some of these numnuts would have written that he would win all of the rest of the games out had he not been fired after AZ St….and actually, some rah rah fan did say that right before Kiff got canned.

  2. The real question is, how will WE adjust to having a blog written by someone who isn’t spiteful of the previous head coach of USC?….. I guess we’ll never know…….

    • Wolf is getting better, he actually had nice things to say about Coach O in his story today. Like Bill Murray in “What About Bob”, baby steps, baby steps.

    • When will you rah rahs admit Scott was right and YOU were wrong about Kiffin? I guess when the stars fall from the sky.

      • Got-Roy – When will YOU ever learn that this has nothing to do with Wolf’s view on Kiffin, but everything do with Wolf’s daily negativity and refusal to move on and discuss meaningful information about the USC football team…BTW… you are without question Wolf’s BIGGEST rah-rah…….

      • gotroy22 = Scott’s biggest fan

Scott isn’t “right” about ANYTHING. He would have to actually take a position on something to do so.

When will you realize that there are real women out there?

        • He’s not Scott’s biggest fan, he is just a realist that saw the wolves among the sheep and he doesn’t blindly back Kiffin or others unlike so many rah rahs on this site.

          • Hate to break this to you, but FANS will cheer for their team no matter how much you, Wolf or gotroy22 b*tch about it.

Fans ARE rah rahs by definition. Get over it.

    • Here’s what everyone does know SUC hearse, you whine to much w/o a valid point, and SUC FB is treading water in the P12 bilge.

    • Damn…TH..great comment…I got here too late to make my own comment known..but yours is a proxy for us all. Keep it going.

  3. If you are talking about the players, the team, they are going to make the teams we have already played thankful they don’t have to face them and the teams remaining on the schedule are going to tremble in fear, not wanting to get the beat down that’s coming.

    • Not really trembling here Steve, but glad to see the optimism returning for you. I was starting to feel bad for you guys! I have a lot of Trojan friends and my favorite Uncle is a Trojan. Hate to see them losing all their arrogance. Looking forward to Nov. 30. Don’t think a beatdown is headed our way. We will see.

  4. No difference. Unfortunately, no coach can fix USC’s depth issues for the next three years. Still, it will be fun to watch. I am sure USC will play with emotion to start, but it will be difficult to keep it up over the course of a game, let alone the rest of the season. The AD has signaled that he has given up on the season by firing the coach. It will take a very special team and team leaders to overcome that obstacle regardless of the depth issues. I’d prepare for a tough record come December.

  5. Apropos to nothing, wanted to congratulate Dr. Arieh Warshel, Distinguished Professor at USC, for winning the Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Fight On!

  6. Wait, I’m still confused. Has Ed O not been a coach the past few years? Was he not enthusiastic then? Other than Kiffen no longer staring into a chart, why would anything else be different?

    • Poor Stu doesn’t know how leadership works. If the head is bad the body doesn’t function properly. SC has a new head and now has a chance to function properly.

  7. Why would the results be any different? if Mr. Ed was a better coach than Lane Kiffin wouldn’t USC have hired him i the first place? Other than being a screamer, what else does he bring to the table. If being a screamer netted results wouln’t UCAL have been more successful under Rick Neuheisel?

  8. I really hope that the players respond well. They’ve shown a lot of character for the most part as far as following a coach. For the Seniors on the team, I hope that they go out on a high note.

  9. The Light Brigade was pretty enthusiastic too, before they were mowed to pieces by Russian guns. Tennyson would probably say that while the Charge showed courage, it did nothing to win the battle. Same can be said for football games.

    • While I disagree with the sentiment, I do appreciate the reference. Once more into the breach…..

      • I actually think SC is better with Coach O. Yes, same coach, but different position. As HC, he gives these kids something they have desperately lacked–a leader to be admired and followed.

        • Then again it is an awfully low bar–I havent seen such poor coaching as from Kiffin in a heck of a long time. I do think the team will play a more inspired brand of football. And there is a chance the lost season can be recovered enough for USC to make a Bowl Game. But the most important thing Coach O brings is some fun and excitement. I can’t imagine a recruit making a visit would want to come to USC while watching Kiffin’s morose bench (and a team that had completely shut him off). Recruits will at least come and see an excited bunch. It might not translate into wins (I think Kessler isn’t up to the task of leading the team, though he might be in a year) but at least we dont have to watch Kiffin-Ball again

  10. the trOXans on here are crazier than a Tea Bagger!!
first they support Kiff!!! (before the season)
then after ONE LOSS, they throw KIff under the Bus!!
now that Kiff is gone, they complain that wolf is too criical of Kiff!!??
    Coo-coo! Coo-coo!!
