Stanley Johnson To Visit USC-Arizona Game

The idea of Stanley Johnson coming to USC seemed to lose momentum in recent weeks, especially when he didn’t go to the Utah State game for his official visit as originally announced. He will attend tomorrow’s football game, however. Going to a Thursday night game doesn’t quite seem like an official visit but I’m sure USC will take it.

  • Hey SUC’s

Sign him up SUCs – who cares. When has a Mater Dei Superstar lived up to their hype after HS. Most MD BB players fail college competition. Stanley Johnson, another MD slug, BFD.

Leinart won a national championship and a Heisman after HS. I think that’s pretty much “living up to their hype after HS.” You on the other hand, have the chance to graduate HS and stop trolling. Finish the first, then you can move to the second.

      • Hey SUC’s

I stand corrected. Leinart was extremely successful in college. However, Leinart has not had a successful pro career.

If Matt spent his days trolling message boards of colleges he did not attend would you consider him a success?

Matt Leinart played over Matt Cassel at USC because his Dad was threatening to transfer him to another School. Everybody knew who had the most Talent between the two, but Norm Chow caved in to Papa Leinart’s threats. That’s why Cassel is still collecting a NFL paycheck and Leinart’s is at homes tripping over his feet.

Sorry, that NC was vacated and LSU won the previous one!

Man gotta keep grasping for straws? The AP is the oldest poll and the one that refused to bow to the BCS in fact they refused to allow their rankings be used for the BCS rankings.

Face it years from now that AP award won by Troy was the beginning of for the rigged BCS/SEC scam and all of college football is better off without it.

There is a little truth to what you just said…Seriously !!!!!!!

      • Trojan Hoarse

        I agree, Fred….but I have a few comments/questions on this subject:

        1. How many “Superstars” have EVER lived up to their hype, from MD or otherwise?

        2. In this day and age of recruiting web sites and their respective player rankings (ESPN included), how could “Superstars” ever even HOPE to live up to their hype?

        3. Who are those responsible to creating and perpetuating this hype? Not the players, in most cases…….

        • Fred Sampson

The Orange County Register always builds up the Mater Dei Players, and everybody else seems to feed off of it.

Having grown up in the OC, I can’t argue with you……Tommy Lewis, Miles Simon, LeRon Ellis, D.J. Strawberry and, currently, the Wear twins @ UCLA and USC Trojan Katin Reinhardt……each were overhyped…..

  • yeah, he’s there to “visit” Southern Cal.

keep the sweeeet set-up going, wolfman!!!

    you are one RUTHLESS VATO!!!!
