Injuries Are On USC’s Mind

Here’s what tailback Silas Redd said about the offense’s struggles today: “A win is a win. We’re not healthy. We don’t have any tight ends. We’ve got a quarterback converted to tight end (Chris Willson).”

  1. Yes, we ARE depleted. But so what? We couldn’t win the way we were supposed to even when those guys were healthy. I think this season is the perfect opportunity for a gut check for the team spirit as Trojans. I’d love to see these guys compete with all they’ve got until the end of the season whatever the record will be.

        • Don’t be surprised if Colorado jumps up and bites your @$$. Honestly, you’ve played two legit teams and lost. Just maybe you aren’t as good as the Kool Aid makes you feel?

          • I’m so sick of you pukes trying to compare yourself to SC. You’re NOTHING. We are down and know it! fucla thinks it’s “turned the corner”. Jeeze, you won 20 in a row and STILL didn’t win a NC. fucla FB is a JOKE.

          • Almost every bruin I know saw us at 5-2 at this point pre-season. Why do you think expectations were higher? I guess we will soon see how good both teams are down the stretch, hey? Will sC beat Furd? Oregon State? UCLA? Well?

          • Don’t know. Not counting on it. But we did beat Oregon at Autzen, when fucla was playing patty cake. What you don’t get is that WE KNOW we stink. You think fucla is the greatest thing since sliced bread. You’ve NEVER won anything in the last FIFTY YEARS. Dream On!

  2. I’m just surprised none of the fuclowns have made their way over here yet. They put up a valiant effort and really hung in there with Oregon! Big old 0 points in the second half for that gutty high powered offense! Even USC’s depleted offense managed a field goal in the 2nd half!

  3. From a fan’s perspective, today’s game was AWESOME! Today’s game showed everything that you want from a team in terms of heart, determination, grit, and all the typical football superlatives.. FIGHT ON!

    • Defense played great today. They made plays when they really needed to. When the offense stalled in the 2nd half, they really stepped up.

    • Yes it was a great game. I went to the Coliseum seeing SC as the underdog. Hard to see how they could overcome the injuries and the disappointment of how they lost to Notre Dame. When you have offensive line problems, like last week, and then lose all of your scholarship tight-ends plus your starting tackle at the beginning of today’s game, how can you overcome it? Well, they did. It wasn’t pretty, but who cares. Our guys won. The walk-ons did their job (as did Cody, Andre, the receivers and the defense). They will should have fond memories of today for the rest of their lives.

  4. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucket, commmmme out and plaaaaayyyayayayayyaaaaaaaa!

  5. Time for the ‘eight clap’ ready lovers of ‘jonnie’?

U Clowns Lost A gain – gain gain gain!

Hey just when are you lovahs of the househand going to have actual lyrics to the song you stole from Cal?

Oh my ‘obama’ no don’t you cry for me…cuz I just logged into your con job and they cancelled my coverage – eee.

Vote left – vote ucla my sucla – vote Obama and watch a true Marxist-Leninist wreck this nation…

Hey almost forgot the 50th Anniversary ‘Jack Got Wacked is < 5 weeks away! Get ready everyone for the avalanche of idiocy for the 'sex=capade' par excellence – the guy that Giancanna said should of had his shlong bronzed none other than 'Jack our Jack…if only…why? Gone are the days…who will lead us….(sound of vomiting)

    • You are right the fula fans have disappeared. Did they really think they had a chance against a good team? They barely beat Utah. I predict we beat them November 30th.

      • Haha, one is still here and still happy to be a MIGHTY BRUIN! Bruins will destroy, and I mean DESTROY, the Trojans a month from now!

        • Duh. USC isn’t any good Azole. You never beat anyone who’s any good. It’s always that way for the Little Gutties, even though you have your best team in 15 years! I know. There’s always next year. Get ready for another crappy bowl game, where the Bruins belong and where they are always lucky to get to. When was the last time the Little Gutties even mattered after the regular season? This should be good.

          • Ah, Jack, you are so angry…but why? I’ve always told you Trogans that I’m not a troll, or a hater, but a realist. UCLA football, 2 years ago, was horrible. We are now much, much better. We aren’t Oregon though, at least not yet. But with 18 freshmen playing, I’m happy where we are going. Now, this is where I need to remind you that SC is headed in the opposite direction. So, keep hanging on to old paradigms, I’ll be enjoying my time in today’s reality – where UCLA is the best program is LA!

As for relevancy, what channel was your game on yesterday? Was game day there? Is Sc ranked? Yes, easy discussion indeed!

          • Who’s angry? Least of all, I. I’m laughing at you and the Little Gutties big time. You say you were crappy two years ago. You’ve been crappy for a full 15 years and were crappy last year too when you lost a whopping five games and got humiliated by Baylor. Face it. Little Gutties can never win a big game. It’s not in your genes. From 2002 – 2008, USC was the top team in the country. Check the won/loss records Azole. Have you ever been ranked in the top five schools in our lifetimes? Thanks for making me laugh big Stu, the realist. I watched the Bruins get killed again in the second half last night. We were all laughing at you at The Palm and then Wolfgang Puck’s across from Staples, filled with SC folk. Believe me. It was REAL funny!

          • Lol when Trogans say UCLA can’t beat anyone and then write off that they whipped SC, pre-season #1 and all. See, we aren’t there yet, but we are getting better and better. And we are recruiting better and better players. To say that UCLA is doomed because of the past ignores that sc sucked for an entire decade before Pete. You think Miles Jack, EV and the other 16 freshman we play aren’t going to be a force soon? And let’s be real – until we lose to the likes of Wazzu, SUC really has no place in this discussion!

          • From 2002 – 2008, USC was the top (No. 1) team in the country. Check the won/loss records Azole. When was the last time the Little Gutties could even stay in the top 10 for more than a week????? You never answer. I know, it hurts too much to know you’re always so bad.

Has EV been visiting his grandmother a lot lately? I hear the old hag is sadly and quickly failing and he can’t function…

  6. Kudos to Heidari. The kid came through in a big way after doing so poorly last week. It takes some stones to brush off last week, go through a tough week of competition in practice, and make some non-gimmies this week. Way to step up Andre!

    • That was the biggest highlight! To see a guy bounce back like that, that’s why we love sports.
