OK, it’s time for me to pick a winner in today’s game at the Coliseum. Utah suffered a letdown after it upset Stanford. Perhaps more important, the Utes have not won in Los Angeles since 1916.
QB Travis Wilson (above) is not 100 percent because of a hand injury but USC’s also got numerous injuries and will start Josh Shaw at cornerback. I expect a close game but in the end, I think the Trojans will edge the Utes, 23-20.

Actually the fact that Utah hasn’t won in LA since 1916 will have no impact on the game.
It’s going to be a really ugly game: 3-4 turnovers for each team, a crazy amount of penalties and neither team scoring more than 14.

If Notre Dame hadn’t lost their QB it would have been much worse last week. The Defense of the Trojans will give up at least 20. Can the Offense keep pace? Will be close, freshmen need to step up. Agree with Capper, turnovers and penalties will decide it. Trojans need it for a bowl that could give them the push. 23-24 SC.
