Ed Orgeron Talks Offensive Line, Penalties

USC coach Ed Orgeron said the offensive line played its best game since the coaching change against Oregon State. Orgeron said offensive guard John Martinez lost his starting job this season because of “inconsistency.”

He said the communication was better with Max Tuerk playing his second straight game at right tackle and he worked well with Martinez.

The Trojans’ still need to work on penalties after committing nine against Oregon State.

“Some of the penalties are inexcusable,” Orgeron said. “We have to get them fixed.”

  1. John Martinez should have lost his job last season , average defensive linemen handle him like a RAG DOLL .
