OREGON.STANFORDOK, it’s the Pac-12 game of the year. That means 50,000-seat Stanford Stadium will be sold out, right? Time for you to pick the winner.

Why?…….is this now a Cardinal/Duck blog?……are you laying some action on this game?……

    • rusoviet

Uh well ‘maybe’ because 1. they’re playing this evening and 2. implications to Troy next week when they face Stanford.

      • Trojan Hoarse

I love how there are 13 comments on this thread, so far, and the only person who actually “picked” a winner (with all due respect to B. Miller), is waffling between Oregon and Stanford…. just an observation….

  • Bill

The question should be on the Bruin Blog because it will determine our opponent in the Championship Game, something that isn’t a concern for the water polo school!
Have fun again in El Paso! SuC On!

    • Trojan Hoarse

Getting a little ahead of yourself, William?…. I think that ASU will something to say about this too, don’t you?

      • TrojanFan

ASU looks to be in the drivers seat

        • Trojan Hoarse

I wouldn’t bet against them although they can run hot & cold….I was a bit surprised they lost to ND, although the game was played in South Bend…

          • sureshot32

The game was played in San Antonio.

          • Trojan Hoarse

Good catch…..I need to back away from the bong……

    • FIGHTONtoVICTORY

LOL! You finally posted something funny! If USC continues to get better as they have been, while fucla continues their downward trajectory, the bRuins may end up as 3rd place in the south!

      • TrojanFan

The guy is a clueless TOOL

        • betomas

He may be. But you didn’t even attend USC, yet you constantly make real fans look bad with your childish comments.

          • TrojanFan

            Still chasing shadows…hahaha!

    • B.Miller

WILLIAM? Cm’on son! your as lame as ever.. Love it.. keep it coming

    • TrojanFan

      Wrong blog!

PS….How many pancakes come with the new breakfast platter?

    • Rusty Buckets

As I recall, ucla already played these teams. Neither game was really that close. Irrelevant bruins.

      • anno nimus

they may have played, but obviously you didn’t watch those games. Against Stanford is was 17-10 with 2 minutes left in the game, with UCLA driving to tie the game, WR slipped with no one within 5 yards, ball is picked off by a DB 5 yards behind Duarte the WR. Stanford scored quickly to make the score 24-10 yah! “not really close” LMAO
As for Oregon 14-14 with 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, with one of the scores via a trick play in which the runner was tackled inside the 10 yard line after running 65 yards – on a trick play.

        • TrojanFan

Dude, you were shutout 28-0 in the 2nd half, that’s an a$$ whipping. What a fool believes…HAHA!

        • Rusty Buckets

Funny shet! I get it, Chuck Weiss was able to stick around ND for several years because he almost beat SC once. Truth is UCLA lost to both teams by double digits. You’re free to spin that any way you want, since it obviously makes you feel better.
The fact remains that your bruins list by a combined 42 points in those two games.

          • TrojanFan

“But it was a great moral victory”

Same shlt they have been saying for the last 14 years

        • Rusty Buckets

By the way, you realize that ucla will lose tomorrow, right?

    • Joe Blow

Huge laugh. What a JOKE. Oregon and Stanford should play in the Pac 12 Championship game as the South SUCKS. fUCLA? Give me a break. You’ll be lucky to get in the Sun Bowl. Honestly, NONE of the bowls want the bRuins because their alums are CHEAP screws.

  • B.Miller

Oregon.. They are mad they got beat last year at home, so I think they will try to make a statement this year..

Stanford wins if they dominate the line on both sides of the ball.

    • B.Miller

Looks like I was right.. Stanford won because they dominated the line on both sides of the ball..
Oregon got bullied! Stanford time of possession 42mins!

      • TrojanFan

This Stanford win puts USC in a great spot for next weeks game. We can’t overlooked Cal and have a let down

  • rusoviet

Just like in ‘Airplane’ “Wrong time to quit smokin’” i.e. Stanford shrank its stadium.

OR should win based on Shaw’s demeanor after the WA win and the UT loss – too thin skinned.

  • Golden Trojan

SC fans should want an Oregon win. Then a collapse by ASU including a loss to UCLA. SC runs the table including beating UCLA. SC wins or loses to the Ducks in the conf champ game. SC in the Rose. That’s my scenario, dream big baby.

    • rusoviet

Yeah – once the team smoked OR St that scenario became a plausible reality. I don’t believe UCLA defeats both OR St and WA. A lot will hinge on how they play against AZ in Tucson Saturday.

      • Trojan Hoarse

Quick comment: Has anyone ever heard of Mike Fafaul?………..He plays football at UCLA…..he is a walk-on……..who currently is the backup QB to Hundley…..their freshman filled, OL had better grow up fast, or else things could get ugly very quickly….

      • TrojanFamily

The only thing USC needs right now is two more ASU losses. Then their own fate in is their hands. A Stanford win means a USC win over Stanford would look better. That would position them better for a non-BCS bowl (the likeliest scenario). By the way, will Billy/Bucket come around posting of UCLA goes to the Sun Bowl? That is increasingly becoming a likely scenario (and definitely would change the perception of Mora as turning the program around).

“a Southern Cal win over Stanford”??? you trOXans are so cute when you make a wish!!!

here’s twp more wishes for you:

“I wish Southern Cal didn’t suck in every sport!!!”

          and finally:

“i wish i was a Bruin” (whispering under covers in bed)

          • TrojanFamily

Oh please, Chuckles, you’ve been predicting 5 and 8 all year. At some point, you will apologize for being more full of crap than any person in history.

          • TrojanFan

            Dementia is some nasty stuff!
The guy continues to live in denial. pathetic!

          • Dr. Paul

“i wish i was a Bruin” I believe that to be one of the 3 biggest lies. I would list the other two but they are equally obscene.

          • TrojanFan

Waste bucket is obsessed with USC and anything related to it, pathetic!

          • TrojanFan

“i wish i was a Trojan” (whispering under covers in bed)”

Perhaps that is more consistent with a guy that trolls the blog 24/7

Your cranium is infested with Dementia

        • anno nimus

          yeah, DREAM big!

          • TrojanFan

You are on the wrong blog, click on the “idiot” link….thanks

      • marvgoux1

        fucla doesn’t play Ore St.

        • Golden Trojan

who said osu plays ucla? asu plays osu. osu needs to beat asu to help usc.

          • anno nimus

            Go Beavers!!!

    • marvgoux1

Very possible now if ASU self-destructs as they do every November, we run the table, get ranked in the top fifteen and we have it.

    • anno nimus

yeah, you ARE dreaming big. It looks like a rematch of last year’s Title game.

      • TrojanFan

You mean another pathetic performance from the south division!

  • tostevinUSC

It has to be Oregon, not because I hate Stanford (which I do) but because if they win they’re in a position to win the final BCS game. It looks better for the PAC 12. However if Stanford wins they might be cocky and overlook USC meaning we have a chance. Forget it! I’ll watch reruns of honey boo boo to see if Bucket is really in the show like everybody says

  • ProbationU

    Oregon 38 Stanford 17

  • john wolcott

Oregon by 10 1/2 (that’s what Vegas says), or 31-21 (oh, sorry, that’s only 10)
By the way, SC does not need any help with SUCLA; the Trojans control their destiny regarding that stupid team. SC only needs ASU to lose 2 more games (which is plausible).

  • EncinitasBruin

    Oregon 38-20

    • Mike 70

Well you missed that by a long shot. Back to Jack wang.

      • TrojanFan

        ….and don’t come back!

        • TrojanFamily

oh please, EncinitasBruin is a great bruin fan and knows a great deal about football. Plus, he doesn’t draw penis pictures. I’d trade you for him in a heartbeat.

          • TrojanFan

            Perhaps you can follow him..HAHA!!

          • betomas

thank you. exactly my thoughts too.

  • john wolcott

Stanford is killing them 14-0. That sets up a great game next week with the wicked Trojans

And De Anthony costs Oregon any chance of a comeback. How sweet. He can run but he cannot hang onto the rock

  • john wolcott

Good golly Miss Molly. Mariota goes from god to godless in 35 minutes of a football game. It is so humbling being an athlete.

  • TrojanFamily

Stanford may well shut out Oregon. Heck, I guarantee they will shut them out through at least 3 quarters.

  • sureshot32

The Stanford win is bad for the Pac-12. Yet another year without a Pac-12 competitor. Aside from USC playing in two consecutive championships, the Pac-12 has contributed exactly one participant in the history of the BCS. Garbage. Now watch a team like tOSU sneak in there by playing exactly nobody. The Buckeyes even made Cal look decent this year.

Oh, how I wish there was an 8 team playoff.

    • Golden Trojan

For sure an 8 team playoff is the only legit nat champ in div 1 football!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and I don’t care about any anointed champs, USC or anybody else’s D-1 Nat. Champ including all the BS BCS.

      • TrojanFan

It’s just a matter of time!

    • TrojanFan

That schedule will not reward Ohio st. a shot at the title.

      • Saul Goodman

        Unfortunately, you will be wrong

        • TrojanFan

A one loss Stanford team will jump Ohio st., watch!

    • Golden Trojan

Oregon is exposed again by a solid defense. The spread is a sham against good athletes on defense. Alabama would have killed Oregon.

      • TrojanFan

They struggle against a strong, physical front 7. But the key here was maintaining gap responsibility. Plus, converting on third down kept the Duck offense on the sidelines for long periods of time

        • betomas

Trying to sound like you know football. That’s cute.

          • TrojanFan

            What’s your excuse?

  • Dr. Paul

See a lot of smoke few predictions. Oregon 35 Stanford 17.

  • anno nimus

Hilarious to read some of these comments, I laugh at you Trojan fans thinking you should even be in the mix for the Pac-12 South Division title. You love to point out that UCLA has 2 losses – BOTH to the #2 and #5 teams in the nation, whom the battled for 3+ quarters, while USC has beaten a Utah team with an injured QB, lost to ND with their 3rd. string QB and an OSU team that couldn’t beat their way out of a wet paper bag and got smoked by Eastern Washington.

    • TrojanFan

“while ucla has beaten a Utah team with an injured QB”. A game you clearly should of lost. The four tipped INT’s were a gift. The ruins looked confused against a weak Colorado team!

You need your vision checked. The OSU game was a quality win!

What exactly is the point you are trying to make, I’m all ears

      • anno nimus

When UCLA beat Utah (on the road, in 30 degree weather), their QB was not injured, he was injured the week before they played USC.
As for the INT’s, the same could be said about USC’s they were thrown into their hands with no WR around.
UCLA looked confused against Colorado? yeah, in the first 2 possessions when the went 3-and-out, as bad as they played, Colorado played the best game they have all year, and UCLA still won by 3 TDs.
The OSU game was a quality win? OSU was not ranked and have not beaten any worthy opponents, but if you want to call it that, knock yourself out!
Oregon gave UCLA an a$$whipping? it was 14 14 with 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter, and 7 of those 14 points came via a trick play in which they took the ball inside the 10 yard line.
The final score, was not an indication of how well UCLA played and how close the game really was, hence UCLA dropping only 5 spots in the AP Poll rankings.
On a footnote: UCLA started 9 true Freshmen in that game, and they more than held their ground…and it should also be noted that for 58 minutes UCLA held their own vs. Stanford, so yes, exciting times for UCLA football are indeed here, and the future looks brighter than ever.
        Thank you very much.

        • TrojanFan

Dude, you drink way too much koolaid, enough said!

PS….If you are looking for some support, bucket has a drawer full of stale jockstraps
