There are reports Baylor coach Art Briles received a contract extension through 2023. That could affect USC in two ways. It means if Texas wanted Briles, they might need to go elsewhere now (like Texas A&M). And it means if USC had interest in Briles, he might be off the list now.
Did I miss something?……..Mack Brown is STILL the head coach of Texas, no?………..
And undefeated in conference this year.
You haven’t missed anything. Wolf is just oblivious to the fact that Texas is in first place in the Big 12 and on a 6 game win streak. He heard from one of his sources (possibly David Allen?) 6 weeks ago that Mack Brown would be fired. He’s too lazy to find out if anything has changed.
The extension is not what matters; it’s the size of the buyout amount. Come on, Wolf, this is basic stuff.
Yes…”size” does matter!
Sumlin is out per TrojanStlouis on rivals.
If Baylor wasn’t concerned per Briles there’d be no 10 year deal – the AP reporter on Yahoo sports, Hawkins is reporting it is a very mutually acceptable deal – why would he leave?
Back to Gruden?
