Scott, Pat Haden was talking about who would be the best coach 10 or 15 years from now like it ruled out Ed Orgeron, but Ed is only 52, so he would be a ripe old 67 years old 15 years from now. He really is at the peak of his career now. Why do you think Haden wouldn’t hire Ed after we whomp fucla, is it that Haden is a snob and considers Ed to be beneath him and is an embarrassment to hoity-toity wine sipping brie eating big bucks alumni?

What was the relationship like between Orgeron and Norm Chow back in the day? How about Orgeron and Tim Davis?Perhaps Helton wouldn’t mind being a norm chow understudy. Or, perhaps Matt Leinart could be the next Sarkisian and be an understudy to Chow. Wasn’t Mattie Leinart the real OC in 2005? It seems like he called an audible on every play that year. How much $ would it cost to lock down Clancy as a DC for a few years?
If hired, would Jack DULL Rio be the single worst hire since Lane “Black Eye” Kiffin ? And would not that warrant the removal of one Patrick Haden from his job since he recommended Kiffin ?

What’s the story with Kenny Bigelow? I know he is redshirting, but I thought he was the crown jewel of this year’s class and we really lack depth on the DL. Is he not as good as advertised and taking a year to develop or is the redshirt year to setup the pipeline of new talent on the DL?
Throw in Cyrus Hobbi, while you’re at it…. poor kid still hasn’t recovered from his disastrous debut/experience during last years game at Stanford…The fact that Marcus Martin is a beast at center hasn’t helped his cause either…..
PLease explain how Steve Sarkesian is not viewed as anything more than a sideways hire based on his mediocre record and association with the previous head coach.

Orgeron was Kiffin’s top assistance and right hand man during the debacle that was the Kiffin’s era. Why hasn’t he been held accountable?
It’s called chain of command, dumbass. If anyone should be held accountable, it is Haden. He chose to bring the incompetent joke called Kiffin back. It was evident to anyone with an IQ higher than yours that he lost the team last season, in addition to all the BS that surrounded Kiffin throughout his tenure.
At this point, what could pat Haden lose by naming Orgeron head coach? Most of the alumni are 100 percent behind him and the recruits as well. He has made a tremendous impact, is wildly popular and south Louisiana coaches have fared well at USC(ie dedeaux & goux).

I asked this last month didn’t see an answer – was wondering if you know Scott if the university has plans to sometime someday install an ice rink below the floor of the Galen Center to allow ice hockey matches between USC and MI Tech, RPI, CO College, ND St., MI, SD St., Notre Dame, Boston College, WI-Superior, MN-Duluth etc..
I spoke to an alum that plays over in Culver City and he told me the arena has that capability per its configuration – like an answer please and thank you in advance.
