Dion Bailey Will Consider Turning Pro

USC safety Dion Bailey said Wednesday he will consider turning pro after the season, one of several Trojans who must decide whether to come back for their senior seasons.

“I’ve got to sit down and talk with my parents, with (athletic director) Pat Haden and (senior associate athletic director) J.K. McKay and the coaches,” Bailey said.

If he is prudent he will weigh his options just as other student athletes will be doing.I wish he’d stay but if not I wish him luck

Someone tell him he is not ready…

Teddy, are you a NFL scout?

He is the Smell Kiper of this blog…..

        neither are you.

Discussion with Haden goes like this. “Hey Pat, we won out, won our bowl game, and you hired the best second tier coach who would take the job and Coach O has left for Cal. Think I go first round?”

He has ONE year at the safety position and 2 years at OLB.

Obviously too small to play LB — unless he adds 25+ pounds.

I surely hope he wasn’t running full speed on the interception return last game. If so, he likely doesn’t have NFL speed. I thought that was a for sure pick 6 until I saw Hogan have an angle on him. I was thinking at first it was maybe Hayes Pullard.

He will be drafted in the lower rounds and will fit in where he can get in. Carnell Lake and Darren Woodson both played Linebacker in College but ended up at Safety in the NFL and were pretty good !! Former USC Trojan Nickell Robey 5’8 165lbs did not get drafted at all last April and signed with the Buffalo Bills as a free agent, and is now one of the better nickel backs in the NFL. So you never know what will happen with tweeners LB/DB.

Easy decision.. only 2 things to consider for Players that can come out early..

    - ARE YOU A TOP 1/2 ROUND DRAFT PICK?
    - DO YOU/FAMILY NEED THE MONEY?
