Coaching Search Protocol

USC president Max Nikias told some students this week he will not be actively involved in the coaching search and will allow Pat Haden to run things. Nikias said he would be kept informed of the search, however.

  2. The best University in LA? A University that is ranked eleventh in a in twelve team conference in FB graduation rates. A University that just benched a starting BB player for academic ineligibility.

      • Mark “hey Honey you want see it,” Sanchez. Oh that’s right, Little Petey Pom-Pom covered up that problem, calling it a youthful indiscretion. And lets not forget two SUC BB seven footers chick bashing in Seattle. SUC: the funky University.

        • Hayes, since when did you get the right to start judging other people’s morality? You troll on this website all day long, making hateful and untrue comments, and feel no sense of accountability. As a UC grad I assume you know what the word “hypocrite” means.

    • Hayes, you’re criteria for ranking academic institutions is based on the graduation rates of its athletes? Please tell me, as a graduate of our UC system, you’re smarter than that.

      • There is no chance this person has a UC degree. Even with lowered standards, there is no chance he was admitted. I suspect, with his logic, level of argumentation, and language that he is still in high school.

      • Please stop talking to morons.. We give these UCLA idiots to much power on this site, by responding to these clowns

  3. Fred Roggin on 570 AM this afternoon devoted a large part of his broadcast to the Ed Orgeron coaching situation – he continued to challenge callers to justify their blind allegiance that Ed had to be hired based on his recruiting ability and that if he was not retained recruits would bail out. Roggin stated why does anyone believe Orgeron is the best recruiting coach in the USA as the main reason to keep him when USC draws players because of its history. When many kept mentioning Orgeron understanding the USC culture unlike anyone Haden would hire he countered that Pete Carroll had no connection whatsoever to USC when he was hired but understood it was unique and he needed to embrace it which he did quickly. Lastly he found Haden mentioning 130 E-mails etc. as more of a statement that Haden is his own man and is not afraid to make an unpopular decision regardless of what the 4th estate, the fans or the players want.
