Wide receiver Marqise Lee returned to practice and will play against UCLA although his knee is not 100 percent. Lee said he is not thinking about the NFL or whether this is his last game at the Coliseum. He is considered a lock to turn pro.

Tailback Silas Redd (knee) did not practice and is not expected to play.

    • Thai, i don’t recall anything like Redd!!! EVERY week, since pre-season, it’s said he may play, and he almost never does, but then when he plays, he is the trOXans’ best back!!

          • Ok, last year SUC lost to UCLA 38 – 28 and Barkley suffer a broken collar bone. SUC the pre-season #1 team finished 7 – 6, the very first pre-season #1 team to LOSE 7 games. That’s the history of SUC’s “unfinished bidness” FB season. That is, if you don’t count the not-fight in SUC’s El Paso locker room. Sombrero on THore.

          • Agreed. UCLA’s 1 win over USC in the past 6 years was against the worst USC team of the past 15 years, and they won by only 10 points. The year before USC beat UCLA 50-0, and UCLA won the South division with their best team in 15 years.

            meanshile Phil Steele ranked trOXans #6 pre-season and if they lose to Bruins, they’ll finish be unranked, so lets see who wins before we declare whose season is a disaster.

          • With the talent UCLA has, and nothing holding UCLA back this year… there is absolutely no reason why UCLA should be down in the 20’s to unranked with USC this year.
            We all knew how bad USC was going to be when Kiffin was retained, and lack of depth.

  2. If Lee can’t get through a Pac 12 season, how long will he last in pro ball, where the players are larger and hit twice as hard as anything Lee has experienced. Lee’s a fifth round DC at best – in any draft round before that, Lee would clearly be an unproductive choice and a waste of money.

  3. It won’t be close after the 2nd half begins – running back depth rising with Redd coming back – Lee in-bound as receiver – defense backfield improving with every game and Kessler is the true ‘qb’ that all teams need.

    UCLA conundrum is how do you explain away a 80 yd. practice field and your stadium is located 20+ miles distant in the worst traffic conditions in the USA?
