UCLA Coach Jim Mora Votes Ed Orgeron For Pac-12 Coach Of Year

This makes things a little more interesting. If Orgeron is named Pac-12 Coach of the Year, it looks even crazier if he is not hired as the Trojans’ coach, right?

Of course he did. That way if he loses he looks like a big shot. Especially since his program is in the toilet. Just another phony incentive for his team. Like 36?

That’s a nice picture, JB. Suits your personality. More details on the Wang blog. Looks like pretty typical coach speak before a game, building up the opponent. CEO has done a great job and I think it is easy to select him or Todd Graham as Coach of the Year. CEO inherited a sinking ship.

Joe, you are just so clever how you manipulate your position to always win the argument … Did you take that Karras “Effective Negotiating” course advertised in airline magazines? We all just learn so much from your Jedi mind tricks!

Who else deserves it more? The only one close is Todd Graham and he only beat Lane Kiffin. Ed’s team would roll the Sun Devils now. Stanford and Oregon’s brilliant head coaches choked and embarrassed the conference. Ed should be the unanimous choice.

Todd Graham has got ASU the best conference record and tied for the best overall record. He has had the best year in the conference. By the way, he’s not exactly a household name, block buster hire. A Gruden type hire isn’t necessary or even assure success.

Agree about Graham. Mike Leach should get some consideration. Wazzu is 6-5 and bowl-eligible. He’s done a good turnaround job already in his second year. I would say either Graham or Orgeron, with Leach getting third place.

Although my prediction has always been Orgeron would win the Pac-12 Coach of the Year, I don’t believe someone who coached a partial year should be considered. It’s not fair to the other coaches and there is a lot more to coaching than what happens from September to December. But good luck O.

Hes still lost to one of the Rivals … He beats this Rival then hands down he should get it.. Especially given the circumstances

Nice touch by Jim while also noting the job Todd Graham’s done @ AZ St. and mike Leach @ WA St.. Compound this conundrum if all three win or all three lose this Saturday

    • EncinitasBruin

If CEO wins Saturday, he deserves it. The story is straight out of Hollywood.
