    • Did Mora really consider leaving though? Maybe, but it sounds like a whole lot of leverage to get a high salary bump.

And why leave? UCLA tolerates mediocrity. They’ll be happy if they continue to be 9-4 or even 7-6. That’s a championship to the Bruins.

      • Seriously… He could retire there, as long as he performs average-above average.

        • What UCLA needs to worry about is the toxic atmosphere Mora is known for bringing.

He’s sitting pretty because they’re playing decent (though inconsistent). But, his on field actions this past weekend should be questioned. Shaw was a class act after the game, Mora thinks he runs LA and his player’s immaturity is spilling through. He is one tough schedule away from being 7-6. Then, you’ll start to see his claws like the Falcons did.

          • Laugh the eff out loud. A troxan complaining about a little pomp and circumstance! Now I’ve seen it all! Look at the tweets from his players today – 100% in support of their coach. If that’s toxic, I can only imagine what you’d call SC under Pete, Lane and Sark!

          • Celebrating a huge win at your rival’s stadium is “toxic”?

It might be, but only to the rival.

Have the Trojans ever walked humbly off an opposing team’s field after a win?

I realize that it’s hard to see oneself from another’s perspective, but a Trojan complaining about (supposed) arrogance in others is as ironic — and lacking in self-awareness — as you can get.

          • It has nothing to do with seeing things from another perspective. It’s Mora’s lying about “We didn’t have room in the locker room so I’m just going to stand in the walkway and yell about owning this town.” Blatantly disrespecting another coach by whining like a child about him not shaking your hand when he is simply congratulating your players is toxic. Allowing players like players to openly snip back at coaches is toxic. This is toxic whether it is USC or UCLA. The inability to realize this behavior because it is YOUR team is ignorance. To ignore Mora’s record of toxicity in locker rooms is ignorance, but I would expect nothing less of you.

          • There is also the fact that there were several recruits at the game that both teams are recruiting. Many of the recruits were guests of SC but hanging around the Bruins because they won. That was a recruiting speech as much as anything else. Sounds like pretty good strategy to me.

He is also announcing, we aren’t taking any crap anymore. We are no longer “little gutties”.

After that, some SC staff members came and escorted the recruits into the locker room.

        • You sound desperate- SC should never sound desperate or chase anything in powder puff blue – Ken Norton being the exception.

      • If UCLA “tolerated mediocrity,” then Mora wouldn’t be the coach, and Wooden wouldn’t be its icon.

You can try to console yourself with absurd mischaracterizations, but so far, Mora’s dominated USC.

Which is why so many here were rooting for him to leave for UW (and so many Bruins feared he might).

      • Henry, good to see you, I was afraid you killed yourself Saturday night. Isn’t that funny that you, Trojan Family, Trojan Fan Helen, Trojan Conquest, TDOG Gollum Wolf and Trojan Hoarse all disappeared Saturday until the Sark news?

        • If you’ve ever been to the Coliseum (it’s the place USC plays at), cell phone & data coverage is next to impossible. I don’t speak for everyone, but for those of us WHO ACTUALLY ATTEND GAMES have fun at the tailgate and the last thing on our mind is what’s going on Wolf’s blog.

After the game, most are hungover and looking for a hot dog cart. Then it takes 1 hour to get our of the freakin parking lots.

          • I didn’t want to tell Got Roy the thing about the poor reception in the Coliseum…..I enjoy seeing how delusional he can be when left to his own devices….speaking of hot dog carts, has anyone seen Thai-Mexx lately?….. Did he get deported again?

          • He probably forgot the password to that screen name.

Speaking of hot dog carts, one of my buddies actually got food poisoned after the game from one.

After watching the news segment a while back on the carts, I knew you were rolling the dice!

          • Food poisoning?…DOH!…….major effing bummer!!!….. it really is like playing Russian Roulette with your digestive system……..

          • Yep…then we had to pull over in one of the lovely communities along the 105 fwy so he could use a public restroom.

I think we’ll be skipping the hot dog carts from now on… LOL

          • Actually, Hawkins House of Burgers in Watts, just off the 105 near Central and Imperial, make awesome cheeseburgers….. and CHEAP!…..just be sure to go there during daylight hours, if you know what I mean…….LOL

    • Where’s the Crapper???

it just keeps getting worser and worser for the trOXans!!!

can they even TAKE another crotch kick??? well, we’re gonna find out!!!

      • What the fuc are you talking about(dementia is some nasty stuff) the crapper is your specialty. Why do you think we hired you to keep them clean

    • Stu, it’s called the National Football League. UCLA players don’t get to experience it. Just like winning the Rose Bowl.

      • LOL. Look who’s on top of the draft boards right now. Not troxans, my friend, but BRUINS! Shaw couldn’t handle UCLA – I can only imagine him in the league!

  1. Josh Shaw needs the experience for the NFL, I think. He is a transfer from Florida and hasn’t seen too much action over the years – relatively speaking against 4 year starters. This is probably a really good move for him.

Some of the others, like Marquise, will probably leave since they risk injury for not much else (though Marquise has had a rough season with injuries and a new QB).

    • Sunday on Trojan Brunch they were saying that Marquis may not be recovered physically for the combines and would then come back.

  2. The Secondary is looking good for next year: Seymour (had some struggles but showed some potential as a first year starter) Cravens, McQuay, and Shaw with the JC kid who redshirted last year due to injury. Adoree Jackson, JuJu Smith, Tony Brown, and/or Jaleel Wadood round out the wish list.

  3. If your not a 1 – 2 Round pick.. and your family doesnt need the money..
    Stay for your senior year
