Ron Burgundy Offers To Coach USC Special Teams

Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell) interviewed Steve Sarkisian this morning on the Dan Patrick show.
“Coach, if you need a special teams coach, I’m available,” Burgundy said.
Burgundy obviously did not hear Pat Haden’s comment Tuesday: “I think John Baxter is the best special teams coordinator in America.”

  1. Sark asked Ron if he could be the Daily News beat writer for USC. Ron’s reply, “Why would I take the worst job in America?”

  2. How long do we have to put up with this Dumb AZZ Ron Burgundy Crap !!?? It’s wearing thin on me and Will Ferrell is not as funny as he thinks he is.

    • I know they didn’t cover the aforementioned Ishmael Adams all that well, and the kicker crapped the bed on multiple occasions, but did you know that USC ranked in the top five in both blocked kicks and blocked punts? Baxter is a good coach.

      • Baxter had 4 years to improve all facets of special teams.. great on blocking punts, but what about the other aspects of special teams?
They rarely did anything special on special teams..
Was not impressed with him at all!
        USC can part ways

  3. Word is MacGruber wants to coach at UCLA as well. Nice to know UCLA has some high quality grads like that.
