Steve Sarkisian Said He Will Not Change Uniforms

During today’s spreecast, Steve Sarkisian was asked about USC’s traditions.

“The uniforms aren’t going to change. The logos aren’t going to change,” Sarkisian said.

    Thank goodness..
Please do NOT jump on that whole Alternative uni’s bandwagon..

    • i can smell the urine!

      • TrojanFan

        Clean your upper lip, idiot!

        • HeySUCs

Get (steal?) some new material will ya. I don’t mind being dissed, but your elementary school taunts suggest a rapid dog foaming at the mouth.

      • Rob Ryan

you would smell urine *ucket. War time!

    • HeySUCs

You mean this is SUC don’t you. Actually you really mean SUCWASH or WASHSUC.

      • B.Miller

        Whatever works for ya kid..

  • Toejam For Life

They will be wearing Ronald MacDonalds uniforms to pay off those buyouts! This Ronald MacDonkey U!

    • FightOn

Better than the fairy blue the pansies across town like to wear.

      • ProbationU

Those fairy blue pansy uniforms seemed to work just fine. LT went to N. Carolina in pansy blue uniforms. Junior Seau used to wear pansy blue uniforms with the Chargers.

Maybe it’s the guy in the uniform that makes the difference.

        • Cheap seats

I actually thought the black uniforms UCLA wore looked good….until a friend commented, “The pants look like……YOGA PANTS!”

          • ProbationU

Don’t care if they are pink if they win.

          • rusoviet

Might as well just add a touch of ‘taupe’ to accentuate their ‘golden’ helmets….oh don’t you dare touch me there…stop it ….oh you savage….oh noooooo….hmmmmm…..ahhhhhh….

        • rusoviet

Uh those are contracts signed by professional athletes got it? Hmmm? No? Ok rave on….that color scheme would look good up in Boise – ya’ never see em’ comin’!

      • rusoviet

Well Red Sanders thought it was a ‘great idea’ in fact the bel-airians ‘so called’ fight song is one they stole from poor Cal – after 60 years the poor sisters of the south end of the state still have no lyrics to it….sing it bel-airians sing that song – what’s that? You say you can’t? Huh?

        • ProbationU

Comrade, are you really down to fight songs? I realize that most people here would like to be able to swap Sarkisian for Mora….but now you want to discuss the fight song?Actually, the Bruins have 2, one they took from Cal and the one they chanted in the tunnel on Saturday night.

However, IMHO, Michigan has the best fight song and Wisconsin and Notre Dame not too far behind. But again, that’s just my opinion.

          • rusoviet

Look boyo what are the words? Your school stole it and like all ‘haymakers thrown when they hit hard’ you want now try to deflect what is a fact – no words and the tune that is played incessantly was lifted from Cal –

As to Mora – well he is a great coach but if you actually believe the clowns who post here are truly what smart football fans of USC believe then have at it – only a fool would actually believe a bunch of nasty, vulgar, mocking, lazy group of ‘fans’ are what Haden and Sarkisian could give a rip about. This is the best it has been since McKay and Prothro ‘threw down’ and in the end as I stated you have one year to pull this off – next year – start composing 18th amendment

          • ProbationU

Don’t care about the song or the words. Know some of the words to We Are The Mighty Bruins…not important.

IMO it will take 2 to 3 years for SC to replenish the depth on the team. I expect both teams to recruit well. There is enough talent around for 2 excellent teams in LA.

There are some that think SC will just return to the days of Pete. I think that is very unlikely. The conference has changed entirely. It is much better from top to bottom, has better coaches and recruiting is much, more competitive. SC will always get talent. What Sarkisian does with it remains to be seen. But the battles for recruits this year should be intense.

        • ProbationU

Well, Comrade. You asked for it. Both songs.

          Welcome to Fight Song Lyrics

          UCLA Bruins

          “Sons of Westwood”
          (played after a good play)

          We are Sons of Westwood
And we hail to Blue and Gold
True to thee our hearts will be
Our love will not grow old,
          FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!
Bruins roam the hills of Westwood
          By the blue Pacific shores
And if we chance to see
          A man from USC
          Every Bruin starts to roar.
          UCLA, fight, fight, fight!
          (repeat verse)

          “Mighty Bruins”
          (played after a score)

          We are the mighty Bruins
The best team in the west!
          We’re fighting on to victory
          To conquer all the rest.
          We are the mighty Bruins,
          Triumphant ever more,
          And you can hear
          From far and near
          The mighty Bruins roar!

          • rusoviet

Funny how no one besides you has ever revealed let alone sung that song – (2nd one).

As to the first one oh I so love the fact you’ve embedded Troy in the first one – talk about ‘….they are always on our minds…’ (apologies to Wille Nelson).

        • HeySUCs

And the SUC AD just bought the Univ. of Washington coaching staff.

      • HeySUCs

Blue is a better color than the Eggplant and Puke uniform SUCWASH is saddled with.

    • TrojanFamily

Someone else seems to be off his meds

  • FightOn

I did like the metallic helmet Washington had. I would love to see the gold Trojan on our helmets traded in for a metallic gold for special games.

    Anyways, I’m glad about this…

  • tostevinUSC

That means the USC stuff I give the goodwill will still be current Great!

  • Fred Sampson

Is Steve Sarkisian’s ego so big that he actually thinks he has the power to tamper with tradition ? Is he that much of a FOOL ? ….Really ? I think Larry Smith was the last Coach to tamper with the uniforms by increasing the size of the logo on the helmet, and the Alum Blasted him Big time and it was returned back to it’s normal size. Sark better concentrate on winning games to shut the naysayers up, because everything else don’t MATTER !!!!!

    • Arturo

It is important to recruits-see Oregon. Smart coaches will use anything and everything to their advantage when it comes to recruiting.

      • HeySUCs

Arty, thanks for pointing out the obvious.

  • ThaiMex

The Uniforms aren’t going to change, the logos aren’t going to change, the losing mentality won’t change either. Bruin fans rejoice as Phaden hires another 500 coach!
    fit UN!

    • Rob Ryan

Thai boy – time to go. War time. You and *ucket are gone.

  • Stu Azole

haha, yeah, that’s important stuff! Did anyone ask why he’s known as “7 Win Sark” or why his record when trailing at the half was 3-24?

  • rusoviet

Nothing sets Troy apart than our football uniform! – no names on the back – helmet sports a logo I wished they get rid of but the cardinal – watch as the sun sets and the color gets deeper and richer in tone.

Contrast that with Notre Dame (whooda thunk huh?) and the Rorscharch Test the bel-airians just adopted – so festive….

Smart programs understand tradition and legacy (NYY, LAD, Packers, Redwings, Blackhawks, OK Sooners, AL Tide…) it’s what separates the wannbes from the few who understand it is exactly that commitment to legacy that draws the recruits and keeps the nation’s media attention on this program – Troy!

    • HeySUCs

Right, in the color of Eggplant and puke.
