As long as you game manage.. and convert on 3rd downs..
no more designed bubble screen plays.

“He also said the quarterback position will be open for competition.”

    Pete Carroll taught Sark well.

    • FightOn

I’m assuming every position will be open, which is a good thing.

  • Golden Trojan

Uh Oh Wolf here we go. Here’s your game management, half time adjustment critics argument. Every position should be open for competition.

I hate when a no huddle stops to look at the sidelines fro a call. Technically once the line sets it is not supposed to move, but when the team looks to the side for a play they look like a heard of dinosaurs watching a rat scurry. Most teams do not get a false start penalty even though the should. This will not be the case with USC

Yup…I’ve said that many times. Teams like Oregon don’t get caught for penalties because too much mayhem and the 60+ year old refs are too busy spotting the ball.

We’ll get the illegal motion, procedure, formation, false start, and holding calls that Oregon doesn’t!

Wait, haven’t we been getting those with our conventional offense?

        • Cheap seats

Yes..but my point was that the hurry up usually would cut down on GETTING CAUGHT. I have a feeling that in our case, it will still be called.

    • gotroy22

      That’s a great description!

    • FightOn

The PAC12 has to be one of the worst officiating crews. I know people always complain about the refs, but there have been some massively terrible calls or no calls. I’ve seen some bad ones in the SEC games I watch, but the Wisconsin-ASU game was a friggin’ eye opener to the incompetence.

Of course Lane Kiffin Jr. will call !! why do all the successful Coaches let the coordinators coordinate ? Will the new staff have figure heads or actual Coaches ? I’m starting to see the similarities between Sark and Kiffin, which will once again lead to disarray .

    • gotroy22

That’s why they call him Sarkiffian.

    • Arturo

Hey Fred, doesn’t David Shaw call plays? Pretty successful- don’t be so quick to judge.

    • B.Miller

Exception is Sark is a much better offensive mind than Kiffin..
See results at a Washington.. Created that offense to help Price be a successful QB..
Turned Locker into a Top 10 draft pick.

I’m up for open competition just as long as it’s for the #2 job.

Max Browne has the #1 job for 2014. =)

  • Khardasian will call the plays?? uh-oh, here we go again!!

    • realtrojan

You want to call plays, don’t you? OK, call some plays that will get you outta this world, won’t you?

    • Rob Ryan

Everywhere you go *ucket I’ll be there. Desktop, laptop, smartphone. You’re done!

  • UCLA Owns the Rose Bowl

YES! Sarkiffian to call plays…LK might even still have his old Denny’s Menu o bequeath to Sark as a right of passage…
