Steve Sarkisian And Pat Haden Fly to GameDay

Talk about a media tour (or damage control). Steve Sarkisian and Pat Haden will fly to Indianapolis and attend ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday morning.

  1. see, THIS is exactly why Hadden dumped CEO at his FIRST opportunity!!!

do you think prissy little Hadden wanted to go around to TV interviews and fancy fundraisers with a brutish oaf like CEO??? no WAY!!!

one thing i will give Khardasian is he is a much better communicator than Kiff or the Agin’ Cajun!!

      • Mora recruiting in LA where he belongs. The SUCUdub Pat & Sark Hollywood act are trying out a new dog and pony act in bumfuc Indiana, a major, and correct me if i’m wrong, BB recruiting state. Alford has may some calls and the Pat & Sark act will receive a frigid reception. Break a leg SUCs.

        • I doubt they’ll be doing any recruiting, but re: Indiana, while the population is not huge, the northern half of the state mostly shares the “football culture” of its neighbors Ohio and Michigan. The southern half is more purely basketball-obsessed.

        • Yeah, high school football players don’t watch Game Day. Publicity, something UCLA knows nothing about.

  2. “damage control”

According to sources, Sark thinks you’re a piece of shlt. Changes your ways or you will find yourself looking from the outside again!

  3. What hayseed is Sark recruiting in Indianapolis. SUC raids indy’s football talent puddle? This is major news nobody gives a crap about.

      • Go back into your rat hole…Your school is an embarrassment NATIONALLY…Nice of you guys to Pay for Peterson going to U-DUB! YUP….Sarkiffen is right up there with other coaching greats like, Gruden,Cowher, Dungy etc. Yea…I know…you could of bought the Benz, but the Ford Fiesta came with leather seats! (what next…you gonna try and convince me you’re ruining UCLA by trying to poach Savage, Klemm and Co.?) Lemme see….Kardashian signs for a fortune (he’s a career 500 coach, just like KIFFEN!)….then there was his BUYOUT, then there are his assistants (carpetbaggers) and their buy outs, then…there’s GOAT BOY’s salary. Money is no problem at SCUm as long as the whole “EXPLOITATION” thing continues to pay dividends.
        What a racket!
        fit UN LIMBO U!

  4. Hmm…so Pat Haden made two very momentous decisions for the future of USC football. One is letting go of Orgeron and the other, of course, is hiring Sarkisian. I personally agreed with the first one. But hiring Sark over Chris Petersen? Did Haden get both decisions dead on the mark? I hope both of his decisions were right, and the program will reap instant benefits of them. But I’m worried about this Petersen guy. His overall record at Boise State is too good to ignore, and having bypassed him might come back to haunt Haden.

    • Both decisions will turn out to be correct. But you forgot the most momentous decision that Haden made – the dumping of Lane Kiffin.

      • Yes, dumping Kiffin was probably the best decision Haden made. No doubt about that. Now, I was wondering…weren’t you the one who was complaining Wolf was making too much effort on making Kiffin look bad?

        • Kiffin didn’t need any help to look bad. My complaint is with Scottie’s lack of professional journalism and taking childish pot shots at people to manufacture a story. By doing this Scottie is assuming his audience has a low IQ and I resent his talking down to the readers of the Daily News blog. For example, this post unnecessarily includes the phrase “damage control” which is meant to infer Haden’s actions are to rectify a bad situation, when in fact we should feel good that USC was asked to be interviewed on GameDay.

    • The last great BSU coach Dan Hawkins wishes he would a have stayed put so will Petersen

      • I hope you’re right, because I’m a bit worried about this Petersen fella making some splash in Pac 12 starting next season.

  5. I guess Haden and Sark will be on national t.v. talking about the future of SC football. The publicity can’t hurt the Trojans.

Because this idea of being known “nationally” is parochial ego-tripping– most folks don’t know what is happening outside their own town or city.

  6. Great move by Haden and Sark, Chris Fowler will slobber all over them just like he used to do to Kiffin.

  7. I am sure Boise St coach Peterson is a good coach, according to some almost a god;if he was so much better than Sark why did not Washington fire Sark and hire Peterson before, apparently he was ready’cause he sure snapped up the offer…this time; last time Washington chose Sark.
Why is this media occurrence ‘damage control’,because uninformed have emotional diatribes to post?

  8. How can you say damage control Wolf? So your going to be all negative with Sark and Haden because they didn’t hire your James Franklin???

  9. The guys came off pretty vanilla on Game Day. Nothing to hard was asked and the answers are pretty much what they would have said to Wolf if they talked to him.
Petersen or Sark, either one is a good coach. I think the players make up the team, that comes from recruiting. USC will have a big edge there permanently.

  10. For someone in constant damage control mode – you should know Scottie. With Scottie pissing off Haden and Sark already, we might as well rename the site to “Outside USC”

  11. Pat feels the need to go out and justify the hire! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
    fit UN!
