USC Interim Coach Clay Helton On Las Vegas Bowl

Here’s an initial statement from USC interim coach Clay Helton on the Las Vegas Bowl.

“We are extremely excited to have been invited to participate in the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl,” Helton said. “It is a tremendous honor and a great reward to our team and what they have been able to accomplish in the 2013 season. We look forward to our trip to Las Vegas and the challenge of competing against one of the better teams in the country in Fresno State.”

  1. This game is going to be great: it’s really going to help raise brand awareness for Royal Purple. Most people think they just produce commercial lubricants — but they also produce industrial lubricants!

    • You know you can get banned from this site by mentioning Trojans and lubricants in the same post!

  2. Isn’t this the bowl game we lost in 2001 after rookie coach Pete Carroll let the team make their own arrangements to carpool from SoCal to Vegas?

  3. Purple isn’t that Sarkisian’s color? I wonder if they will be digging up the end zone the way they did at the Freedom bowl?
