The first line comes from the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas and the Trojans are 7-point favorites.

  1. I predict an uninspired, losing performance on this one… I can’t see how this team gets fired up for Fresno St– they, on the other hand, have all the reason in the world to get up for this game.

It will have the intensity of the 2006 game for them.

    • You meant 2005 I believe – I hate to say it but I concur with you then again who knows? I know one thing Kessler is aware his hold as the starter next year is in jeopardy

      • It might be a rebound from their poor bowl performance last year. There’s a reason why Vegas opened them as a favorite, much better team

        • I hope you and Vegas are right, I still remember that disasterous Freedom Bowl against Fresno State when we just showed up in Larry Smith’s last game.

          • Man was it ever! Yeah Mike McGee was told he was outta’ here! and when Smith asked about his own status McGee told him (before the game) “….you’re outta here too!”

            Awful times end of 1991

          • Opps, my bad, I see it was a few days ‘after’ the game that McGee was shown the door and did the same for Smith ‘but’ not before Jolly John got re-upped

          • You mean ’92, after we lost to thre ruins 38-37 when some 5th string quarterback had the game of his life against us- just our luck!

    • This Fresno State defense is one of the worst in football. If USC doesn’t put at least 40 on the board, something’s wrong. Fresno State’s passing game, on the other hand, is definitely one of the best in college football. I’ve seen Derek Carr going as high as #4 overall, and he has three ridiculous receivers. We know that USC can put Shaw on one guy, but he can’t cover three at once. If there’s no pressure on Carr, he’s going to eat the secondary for lunch. Could be a 52-50 kind of game (similar to last year’s Oregon game or this year’s ASU game).

  2. Why? Don’t they know that SC carries a loser’s mentality into the game? That their heart and soul was sh(t canned in place of a “smoother transition”? That the team’s split on the new staff? That SC is on its 3rd coach of the season? This should be gooooooood! War time!

    • keep smelling your *sshole and nards. it’s working for you. No rest ever. In your head. Using my War time.

    • Put your money where your mouth is!….Sorry Stu, I forgot you’re light in the coin department….must suck to be poor!…..I’m sure you will have your pretty little dress on when you attended the Toilet Bowl, Watch out, Texas!

    • The thought of having Fat Suckisian as their coach next year will lift this team beyond the loser expectations it has/is.
Fat Sark will probably even show up for the team meals.

      • Washington State 10 – suc 7. SUC has all it can handle at the “Take a Dump” Bowl. How’s the SUC/UDub recruiting farce progressing. Zero recruits, lots of de-commits.

    • If you’re saying they should be playing a BCS game instead of wildly mediocre Oklahoma, I agree. I’d love to see Oregon (with a healed Marcus Mariota) play against the Crimson Tide.
