Boise State Hires Bryan Harsin; Justin Wilcox Down To USC/Washington

There are multiple reports that Boise State hired Bryan Harsin as its coach. That means Justin Wilcox is down to staying at Washington (if Chris Petersen wants him) or coming to  USC (if it pays his $1 million buyout). At least things are clearing up.

  1. Why would SC pay $1 million to buy out Wilcox if they can keep Pendergast? Seems to me that Wilcox is not clearly better than Pendergast. He may actually be worse. Only reason I could guess would be the relationship with Sark…but that is a lot of cash if it isn’t a serious upgrade.

  2. Why are we caring about Wilcox? Was UW’s D that good (or even good for that matter) this season?

  3. Can somebody please explain to me what the big deal is about Justin Wilcox ? The Washington defense was very average at best last season, the media always latches on to a name and hypes it up all the time. Wilcox was an upgrade over former Washington DC Nick Holt, but a Chimp would have been one too.

  4. Memo to Cadre: the war is over.

Jedi Master Yoda took care of our problems with Rob Ryan and booted T-Fail off as well. was there any doubt?

enemies of the Cadre don’t seem to stick around very long do they?

BEHOLD! such is the POWER of the Cadre!!

so lil’ Dummies out there, mind your P’s and Q’s!!!

i have noticed improved behavior, but if there is any backsliding, the little green dude will come knockin’!!!! and Yoda don’t play!!

  5. Wilcox is clearly going to cash in his first HC position as soon as it comes up, so why bother. Keep CP and move on…

  6. Let him stay at UW – a lot of UW games were too close. Plus, Wilcox is clearly gaming for the most money and exposure. Why take him and worry about having to find yet another DC?

Key question: will CP stay at USC though? This seems super disrespectful to be chasing Wilcox while he is looking at his dream jobs all while ignoring CP the whole time.

Also: didn’t Wolfie say Harsin dropped out? Or am I mistaken?

  7. JW may or may not be an upgrade over CP but he might offer a more seamless transition and offers experience in working on the opposite side of a no huddle offense.don’t know if it is worth a mill.

  8. What’s with the integrity (or is it gratuity) of these coaches. I read 24 hours ago that Harsin was staying on at Arkansas State, and then hours later he announces he’s leaving after one year.

The players are reminded that this is all a business, and their work is producing millions for their schools

They’re getting a free ride, but how many take advantage of the situation?– Probably less than half

    • Oh my….the pot calls the kettle black once again…..You didn’t have a problem when that carpetbagger, horses rear end, Goat Boy up and left Tennessee after a brief PIT-STOP. As a matter of fact, you attempted to convince all of us here that the mumbling stumbling cross eyed Peter Principal poster boy, Kiffen, was actually some sort of cagey genius and that his weird behavior was EINSTEIN like…didn’t you?

Do you have any Pride? Do you know who your daddy is?
Sadly, the answer to both questions is NO!
      fit UN!
