  1. I’d really like to know just what Lane Kiffin said to Wolf when he ended the relationship. I’ve seen teenage girls respond to break-ups with much more dignity than Ms. Wolf.

    • Kiff could care less about Wolf. Career: Kiff Wife: Kiff Money: Kiff KIds: Kiff Car: Kiff Likeability: Tie. Congrats Scott.

  2. Nice comparison.

What Bucket — I mean Wolf forgot to mention is the Buck was 4th on the depth chart under Kiffin and it took injuries to Madden, Davis, and Redd.

In my opinion, Davis and Allen should be #1 and 2 going into spring next year. Both of them are complete backs and would fit well into Sark’s system.

    • Both are similar, between the tackles, North/South backs. I do think they’ll both play but I think the Trojans need a fast, catch in the flat, juke the LB type of guy. Ty Isaac is also more the big, between the tackles type.

I wonder if there is a recruit that fits this model. Or. And I know this is a huge long shot, might George Farmar finally be healthy and be converted? I really don’t know…I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts (well USC fans, not the low IQ trolls).

      • I don’t think you can classify Davis and Allen as “north-south” guys. Both are very good on the zone stretch / toss sweep plays and are always looking for the cutback.

Of course, Madden is more of your pure north-south runner, but I don’t think he has the power to move the pile against Div I teams.

        • My bad….I saw Davis and Allen and thought Madden and Allen. I agree Davis is a nice cutback sort of back. I’m not as sure this is Allen’s strength. What I loved about his game was how hard he’d hit a hole.

Does Davis have great breakout speed? I always want a back who, if he gets in the open field, can just blow past defenders. It stretches the defenses and forces them to play a FS far deeper than they want to as insurance.

          • This is adult time, Chuckles. Go back to the kids table with your fresh takes like “fit Un.”

          • Well, the coaching staff thought Davis was fast enough I often saw him in punt return drills.

To your point about needing a back that can catch in the flat and a juke-type guy, he can be that.

  3. Math equation: Javorious Allen’s 699 rushing yards = 2.6 x Myles “The Hype” Jack’s 268 yards rushing this season. Whoa nelly!!!! Uh oh, spin that for me trolls!

    • Well, I sure don’t want Jack playing full time at RB. His combination of power and speed are just SICK…as in Bo Jackson sick…

      • I like Myles Jack’s athleticism. He’s got a really great future (although Mora would serve this young man well by choosing whether he is a RB or LB–both aspects of his game will suffer if he keeps trying to play both). But to compared him to the greatest pure athlete of my lifetime is just stupid. No one could do the things Bo could do both on the football field and the baseball diamond. The closest was Deion Sanders, and he was more of a finesse guy in both sports than Bo’s combination of power and speed.

Take a deep breath. Let’s not get carried away.

        • Yup..I doubt Jack can run over NFL guys like Bo did.

It’s Jack’s running style where he has a rare combination of power and speed.

Until I see Jack having breakaway runs against Stanford-like defenses, I’ll hold off on making that comparison again!

      • I hear you, but there is no way on earth he is Bo Jackson sick. I seriously doubt he runs a sub 4.2 40 yard dash, but let’s keep hoping that SUCLA continues to play him out of position.he’ll have a smaller impact at LB than RB.

  4. Imagine being on Wolfie’s bad side if he were actually in your family. You’d literally have to skip every holiday, or your life would be miserable. Just think of the dinner table digs from the Scottster and his relentless annoying smirks. Makes one grateful for all one has to be thankful for. It could be so much worse!
