USC players are in better spirits going to Las Vegas instead of El Paso, but not for the obvious reason.

“Last year, not everyone was pleased with the Sun Bowl after thinking they were going to win the national championship,” wide receiver Marqise Lee said. Full story here

    • I saw that! It was for his own good. NOBODY should be that grouchy in life. I swear 100% of his 30+ posts a day were put downs.

        • If you really want to know what the screen name stems from: I’m involved with giving USC “kids corner” seats away that are in section 27 to local youth. Some of them range from underprivileged kids to kids who won awards at their school.

Of course, you’ll find something negative to say because while some people like me are trying to make a difference, you spend hours trolling and finding ways to get people down.

          • I believe UCLA has a similar program for the end zone seats. I’ve been meaning to look into it — the last few times I’ve sat in the end zone at a UCLA game it seemed entire youth teams were in attendance.

          • Yes..I know they do. I think it is a great program. I think it would be a great program for SC at Galen for selected games. Bring some kids to make some noise in the arena.

          • If you go through my total posts on this blog, you will not find a pornographic slur about a SUC fan, or a Homophopci

          • At least you stopped your anti-Asian racism. It proves you can improve your posts. I’m proud of you.

          • Haha. You have made many promises to leave this blog and have had multiple posts deleted due to vulgarities and racism (although perhaps not directed at charitable organizations), but where else would you get attention?

For your sake, I hope you’re around 13. Anything above 18 would just be depressing.

          • Two promises to be exact. If that qualifies as “many” so be it. As to my seeking attention, you have the right to ignore my posts. Apparently, because you’re such a blind, rabid SUC fan, you feel the necessity to spin the sting of truth in favor of your misguided SUC allegiance.

          • Aw…I got to you and now you’re mad. You must be over 18 and really are that pathetic (and, ironic).

      • And those posts could have been well deserved. Truth Stings, it’s how you adjust that counts. Most people figure it out, but there are some who can’t quite survive w/o help.

          • That’s rich coming from you. Some- how you link, out of context, my words in a blog post to a “local gang.” There is no such thing as a “local gang,” in my neighborhood. It must be tough for you sleeping on LA streets. Happy Holidays, Cheap.

  1. About the number of tickets sold. I spoke to my Las Vegas resident sister and she told me in state ticket sales were closed already. All of the sports book brokers have them because they want to get at the Trojans for messing up the books this year.

    • Man what sports book does your sibling work for? I used to ‘parlay’ down at the Las Vegas Club – old downtown just south of Fremont and Mason – best odds anywhere.

1986 – March 11:1 on the Angels to win the pennant – big bet and Donnie Moore – best $700 I ever lost because I have never gambled again – the old adage rings true – “You always hear about the winnings…you never hear about the losses!”

BTW – try to get to Hollywood Park before Sunday – gone forever on Sunday the 22nd Dec 2013 – sad passing….OTB and the Lottery brought about its demise upon their arrival almost 30 yrs ago.

‘blank’ the left and the house hand in the WH who has a scratch to play golf but will always have his med insurance ‘in place’.

  2. Hopefully for those of us watching this game, they treat it like a business trip. Look for seniors not going pro and/or not starting to party like rock stars. The problem for all these minor bowls is you don’t know the mood of the team till kick off. USC and UCLA were highly unmotivated last year.

  3. It’s bowl season and I believe in conference unity. We need you guys to set the stage for 9 for 9. Go forth and kick Fresno’s ass.

    • LOL. This is all that’s left over at SC now… hoping something bad happens to UCLA so SC can keep up.

      • Oh yes, we are so concerned what your little school is doing. You ever post on fucla blog, or do they even have one anymore.

      • Better understand lunchbag ‘if’ Mora fails it’s Palookaville for UCLA – you’ll get more of the same – cast offs from the NFL – it all relies on the next two years – no ‘showtime’ by Mora than now what?

        • As you said above…time will tell. Things line up very well for UCLA next year if Hundley returns. Most of the tough games are at home. Time should tell next year.

      • Or that fact that FUCLA coach is looking for something better.. He talks to every position that opens up, that is willing to talk to him.. HA!

      • At least Haden got it right on one respect. He won’t have to worry about the NFL or better programs taking Sarkiffin away. But, if the Mater Dei coach leaves, it may be time to worry!

    • Mora should definitely NOT leave UCLA. When he makes a Sun Bowl, he gets an extension and a raise. At Texas, they expect you to compete for national titles.

  4. have these dweebs ever seen a pretty girl before?? one is closing his eyes the other is hiding behind his helmet!!! they’re scared to DEATH!!

Bruins would have their arm around the girls, these trOXans appears to prefer boys!! they should go cruise with pride like i do!!!

typical trOXan dummbells, stuck for an answer if you tell them hello!!!

  5. I sense a loss in Las Vegas-NV for Troy and a victory for UCLA in El Paso-TX.

USC has their 3rd of 4 coaches they will have running the team before new years arrives. Kessler is justifiably looking over his shoulder based on his pratfall against UCLA. Redd has been a distraction for the media. Lee, per credible comments made by other, looks like he’s on a ‘cruise control’ mindset. Injuries to key defense and a questionable FG kicker.

Carr is a great QB who played well against a fluke loss to San Jose ST. and he has a plan to make NFL scouts take a look at someone who should have been in NYC last Saturday night.

    • UCLA looks focused to get their 10th win and based on Mora’s ‘mojo’ he displayed an hour ago on 570 AM with Petros he’s the best they’ve had since Vermeil – UCLA truly wants this bowl victory over VA Tech.

      • SC may surprise you and if they win, it will be because of the players. Hard to see the coaches with too much invested since most of them are losing their jobs. Doesn’t really matter to me either way and not really important to the program. It’s a new start under Sark either way.

        • Time shall tell – it’s the 2nd of a mere 35 bowls to be played commencing this coming Saturday – 21st December 2013 w. WA St. inaugurating the 1st kick off in Albuquerque-NM against CO St..

My hope is for a 9-0 roll out and prepare for the 2014 season.

The SEC aka ‘moonshine conference’ is a fraud – MO and TX A&M have had a legacy of failure and lost dreams while members of the Big-8/Big-12 but suddenly they’re able to match-up against the self-inflated con game of the SEC in a mere 1-2 years?

      • I agree with your comparison to Vermeil. Mora, at 52, is in his “sweet spot” vocationally. All the ups and downs he’s had in coaching are paying off; and he’s a guy who seems to have learned from his mistakes. Most men spend their 20s and 30s trying to “make a name,” the 40s figuring out what really matters, and the 50s and beyond pursuing it. He strikes me as the kind of guy who’s turning that corner.

  6. Hopefully, Helton told them that if they punch out hookers in Vegas, they might end up with a permanent limp!
