USC received a letter of intent from defensive tackle Claude Pelon from Mesa Community College, who will enroll in January. Pelon attended three junior colleges, quite a feat.

LOS ANGELES–Claude Pelon, a 6-5, 285-pound defensive lineman from Mesa (Ariz.) Community College, has signed a letter of intent with the USC football team and will enroll as a junior for the spring 2014 semester to participate in spring drills, new USC head football coach Steve Sarkisian announced today.
“We are excited to have Claude join our Trojan team,” said Sarkisian. “He’s a welcome addition and we look forward to having him contribute to our program.”
Pelon had 52 tackles, including 9.5 for losses, plus 2 forced fumbles and a fumble recovery as a 2013 sophomore at Mesa CC. He earned All-Western States Football League second team honors.
He spent his 2012 freshman season at Eastern Arizona Junior College in Thatcher (Ariz.), where he had 17 tackles with 2 sacks. He redshirted in 2011 while at Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College.
He prepped at Agape Christian Academy in Orlando (Fla.), where he earned All-Conference honors as a 2010 senior while posting 68 tackles with 9 sacks. He also had 3 receptions on offense. He also was on the basketball and track teams at Agape Christian.
His full first name is Claudeson.
