Clay Helton Retained As USC Offensive Coordinator

USC interim coach Clay Helton is being retained as the Trojans’ offensive coordinator and an announcement should be made after the game today. The only catch would be if Helton is offered a better job somewhere else.

  1. I’ll give credit where credit is due. Wolf’s report (not Wolf by name, but “the LA Daily News is reporting..” was mentioned on the broadcast. This is reporting. It sure beats his trolling his blog.

  2. Clay helton’s a joke. Let him get an offer somewhere else. Were demolishing FresNo St. Because we always own them.

  3. Effective, creative game plan by Helton today vs. Fresno… Also, very happy to see Lee have a break-out performance today. That young man has been through a lot for a guy his age.

    • BWAHAHA! You had to say something smart to keep your reputation up. The rest of us think you’re a joke. Stick to your own blog, manchild.

Thanks for watching us, though. We’re always number 1 in the minds of Ruins.

      • It is too bad you rep SC. You are as bad as Bucket and the rest of the trolls. EB is no troll unlike you. Just goes to show every institution has good and bad. Unfortunately, your posting on this blog represents the bad of my alma mater.

          • Marv, you wouldn’t know what a football was if it smacked you across the face. You still cannot figure out what the team’s difference is between months ago and now.

            Why are you still here?

        • Thank you Saul for speaking up. But do forgive Fit Un….you see…”Aunt Flo” has come to visit.
          fit Un!

        • Thank you… we have Bruin posters who troll on our side of the blog as well. Trolling is an equal opportunity activity, it seems.

          • Aw. Encinitas is mad that he is a coward who has been called out multiple times on the LA Times blog, but can never formulate a response.

Don’t worry, Encinitas, I’ll be here to embarrass you until you realize you aren’t welcome and you slink back to the Wang.

          • Okay, you opened up and shared your story–which I admire. So, here’s mine: Husband of five (four on earth, one in heaven), married 25 years in May. Wife is a 6-year cancer survivor. We lost our baby boy to a genetic defect at 3 days old in 2001–a week before 911. In ’07, we adopted a 6-year-old boy from Ukraine–we just celebrated his “gotcha” date where he has lived with us longer than his time in UKR. I love my university, as do you. I am a 26-year UCLA season ticket holder. I am not the type of UCLA fan that spouts ridiculous gibes about owning L.A. I am simply happy that my Bruins are making it competitve again, and thank God everyday for a healthy wife, three beautiful daughters, and my son.

          • My mother is a cancer survivor too. Congrats on the six years. Major, major step. Enjoy the little ones too. They grow too fast.

          • You’re a candidate for “Queen for a day.” Their looking for cheap sob stories from homeless people.

        • Aw. I think you’re sad that I’ve called you out multiple times.

Hey, let’s play a game to show how ignorant you are. See, you called me out for saying I chose USC over Stanford and Cal. Do you want to know why? Because my cousin suffered from severe PTSD and left the military. His wife took off and left him with two kids to struggle. I took over custody and split it with my mother, stayed in LA, and commuted back and forth to USC four days a week. Somehow, I got on the Dean’s List multiple times. Guess what? I just graduated in 2013 – a year later than I should have – because I still have custody. So, I’m barely legal enough to drink but am helping to raise two children and financially take care of my family.

So, yes, you can be a child that you are and run around on this blog criticizing me because you’re ignorant, but know this: I do more for USC as an alum than you will ever know. Actually, you probably do feel the benefits of my work with the university. I am in contact with officials all the time giving my ideas and searching out other alum to implement those ideas. Let me repeat that: I always strive to come up with ideas that help current students and alum.

So, really, if anyone is a disgrace, it’s you. Run along, Sniffles. You embarrass me and are not worth my time.

          • What did you do in life that has caused you to be on a rival’s blog spewing negativity to literally everyone? Yawn.

Flagged and reported. Move on, HeySUCs. Life is waiting for you.

          • He became a Ruin … haven’t you noticed how 99% of all Ruins have the nastiest outlooks in life in general… They’re Typical Optimistic Pessimist….

          • Disagreements aside, I admire what you have done for your family. It takes a man to step up, which you have done. And congratulations on earning your degree.

          • Sob on! Now go ahead and mock the UCLA football player who died earlier this year. It really is all about YOU, isn’t it. Thank’s for sharing the trivia in your life. “We all have our own El Guapos”, but most of us don’t run around wearing a sandwich board yelling WOE IS ME!
            Go see a doctor…or better yet…grow a set.
            have a nice day, SCUM!
            fit Un!

          • Hi HeySUCs! Too bad I’m not running around crying. I love the Trojans and my life, hence why I’m not wasting it on a rival’s blog.

You still haven’t answered my Aspie question…

          • I don’t understand why there are so many high and mighty USC “alums.” Between idiots like Saul Goodman and marvgoux, they run around sucking up to every single troll and being negative to every single fan. It’s pathetic. But, I’ll be here to embarrass them.

  4. Great move – both by Sarkisian and Haden – good move! A well deserved retention by USC!

  5. Scott, you are a putz.

What, exactly, is a “better job somewhere else?” The OC position at Florida? Muschamp will be fired next year. Why would Helton sign on for another lame duck coach?

Outside of being a head coach or the NFL, there probably isn’t a better job than being an OC at a top tier Pac-12 school.

  6. I saw wolf outside the USC locker room after the the game, he trying to find a player that would talk to him, no luck!
