Was USC Taunting Fresno State?

HEIDARI

Probably not a great moment when the official Las Vegas Bowl caption for this photo is “USC kicker Andre Heidari taunts the Fresno State sideline during the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl.”

  1. 11:45 am. Scott sleeping.

ESPN Reporting: Steve Sarkisian became USC’s fourth coach in the past four months but would like to have USC’s two interim coaches this season on his staff next season.

Sarkisian said on Sunday he will reach out to Ed Orgeron, who went 6-2 as USC’s interim head coach, and ask him to be a part of his coaching staff next season.

    Wolf….WAKE UP!

  2. Scott, please. Taunting exists on every sideline, on every team, in every college game.

We can have a legitimate discussion about when taunting goes too far. However, let’s not pretend, as Simers does, that this is somehow unique to USC, indicative of some corrupt culture, or is always a bad thing.

It would help if you looked at the context: these kids had a terrible coach who their AD refused to fire. They were miserable under Kiffin and he gets ousted in the middle of the night. It’s still difficult to lose your coach – even if you didn’t always like him – because, at the end of the day, he is your leader and shows some stability. The entire nation thought Ed O would do a mop up job and we would be 7-6 again.

This didn’t happen. O brought back the fun and USC felt like USC again. Then, Haden drops a bomb and hires Sark – a move I believe O saw coming before the UCLA game. Some boosters liked it, others went nuts. The fan base was pissed off and the kids lost a father figure when O left.

Most people – myself included – thought USC would phone it in. They didn’t and are now 10-4 despite going through several coaching changes. So, yeah, I think a little celebration on the sidelines is going to happen.

      • That is pretty funny, but then when you look at the Ravens kicker you realize some of them are the only ones on the team with the right to taunt sometimes.

        • You have the dumb stupid repetitive tendency to rationalize EVERYTHING embarrassing about $UCks. Imagine for just a moment…” If Idi Amin were a Trojan”….go at it…”spin” it…
          Girls will be girls!
          fit Un!

          • Wow, you should switch to a lower carb diet. You are, what Avril Lavigne called “mall angry.” If you mixed in a salad every once in awhile, you’d feel better and drop being so angry. And perhaps you’d even stop hating girls.

          • Not really.

You have nothing to say so you insult people or make up crap.

Really, I have more balls as a woman than you will have in your life (and I spend less time on my knees than you do). The only thing you probably have on me is your boobs are probably bigger – which is saying something since I’m a C cup. Get to running, ThaiMex! It’ll make you feel better.

      • It really is … i think the Brothers who played in the NFL that would celebrate like they won the super bowl on every FG and PAT was hilarious…. I Know when one of them hurt him self celebrating … not to many had sympathy

  3. USC wins it’s 10th game, and first bowl since Pete Carroll, but all Wolfie can write about is sideline antics!!!! Hey Wolf, go get your goofy friend Petros, and you can both cry on each other’s shoulders because SC won.
The fun is back in SC football

    • The game wasn’t easy, the guys just made it look that way!!!! You’re still sore about something, what is it. or should I ask. …..must suck to be you

      • You referring to the mighty Fresno State Bulldogs that gave up 62 points to San Jose State? That’s not an easy game? Sounds like your standards and expectations have taken a bit of a beating.

  4. Shouldn’t he make an occasional field goal before he starts taunting anyone? Maybe Washington State should start taunting him before kickoff!

    It was only Fresno State…

  5. Scottie: you didn’t write about USC dancing during the Orgeron tenure (Stanford game I believe). You thought it was bringing back the fun to USC at the time. Can you be consistent?

  6. Pretty pathetic of this clown considering his graphic ineptitude cost us two losses this year (WA St. & Notre Dame) – sooner he’s gone the better.

    • Typical Torgan AZZZZZ Clown, Heidari How many of you “Family ” guys were calling for his HEAD after he missed soooo many gimmeee’s and cost you a few games earlier this season? But it’s funny how things have all the sudden changed…..EVEN the Jackal…Fit Un has now come to the kickers defense. Typical RAH RAH behavior……Mercy Nurse!
      fit Un!

  7. I didn’t especially like it, quite frankly

The only time I saw that done was in the 2006 SUCLA game when SC started dancing to begin the 4th quarter and SUCLA’s players started to go across the field to take the Trojans on. It also happened 2 years ago, same darn thing

If you are dancing and prancing among your teammates, that might be one thing, but to be looking across the field at the opposition, that is taking it too far.

  8. Hey Joe Blow-I think you are on to something. Petros and Wolf and too close for comfort, if you ask me

  9. So we have an issue with this, but not an issue with UCLA dancing and pointing at the SC players and laughing on the field before a kickoff during this year’s game? How is that any different?!? I guess because it was a rivalry game, and SC took the ball down and scored right after they did that, it didn’t matter as much. Give me a break! Once again I’m reminded why I can’t stand Simers!

    • Simers forgot to mention the UCLA player who punched a USC player during the first series and was ejected.

      • I recall seeing Fresno players roughing Seymour a little on the sideline. Wolfie hasn’t mentioned this either.

  10. They needed to pick on SOMEBODY after the thrashing they took at home from THE MIGHTY BRUINS! WOTT chant right in front of their lockers hurt more than they could ever tell! Harhar!

  11. That’s so funny. Fresneck was talking smack all week, so be careful what you wish for there Fresneck.

  12. Interesting, “wrong way” Hadari taunting an opponent??

Remember when the Pious Passer taunted the Bruins?

The next year, a bruin with a good memory WRECKED Pious and left him sobbing in a crumpled heap!!!

MY POINT is, taunting no es muy bueno!! Especially when you play these guys again early next year!!!

All I can say is Hadari better have his head on a swivel next year!!! And that’s all I have to say about that!!
