A Dramatic USC Season Cont.

ABE

What is remarkable about this 10-4 season that included three head coaches is just how close it came to being a 12-2 season. If a not for poor blocking on one field goal and a miss on another, USC beats Washington State. If USC does not miss two field goals against Notre Dame, it beats an Irish team that had no quarterback for the second half.

  1. Shows you the talent level of our depleted roster. Sometimes, coaches need to get out of their own way.

  2. True (12-2) but then Kiffin would have been around a lot longer than he was – count our blessings – good riddance!

    • In all honesty, Suckiffian has me mad and hating him more than Kiffin – i think he knew all about this Lupoi deal obviously, and he’s bringing heat back onto SC by possibly being suspended as a result of the new rules. I will feel a LOT better with an AJ lead recruiting class, but I think the leorachaun has a tight grip on Sark and his movements are monitored closely (i hope) – anyway, I like the fact that Sark is in a “must-win” situation with every single game next season or he will get pelted by water bottles atcthe coli i can assure you – that’s why he’s being so vocal about getting Coach O returned which is obviously carp since CEO would take over the locker room. All in all I think it will be a better season next season but theres gonna be some sideshows that’s fo sho! Jappy Jolidays!!! Love you all and im thankful for this trolly blog to distract me

      • I can’t wait for all you Sark haters to come licking his boots after he’s a success at SC. MARK THIS POST DOWN.

  3. It is quite possible we could have won all of our games. At AZ state we came back in the second half with a fired up offense but no defense. So as each games begins 0-0 it can be said that we were in it until coach Kiffin showed up.

    • That’s funny. You give up 62 points and say you coulda beaten ASU!? Right!

    • No – we were not even remotely ready for AZ St. and even w. Coach O we were totally had by UCLA. That lack of preparation for that game and Notre Dame are the main reasons Orgeron was never going to be the HC of USC.

All of us should be glad, as connected emotionally Coach O was with the school this would have been a repeat of the dark years 1989-2000.

  4. So often we look at the missed kick. What about the dropped passes, wrong cuts to daylight, clock mismanagement, bad play calls, tired defense, incorrect line play, and misreads by the qb. In other words, if we had done some things differently we could have won all of them. That’s what makes it the game it is, the monday morning qb that writes a column is never wrong.

Except if his name is Wolf.

  5. And UCLA would be 11-1 if not for a last-minute INT vs Stanford, and if not for spotting ASU 30 at half. Please.

    • 30 in the first half is an as$ whipping…….you try way to hard to be relevant on this blog……Good luck with the Flush Bowl.

USC is looking at a top 20 finish. Given the situation surrounding the program, that’s quite the accomplishment. A lose by the ruins, and you will be lucky to sniff the top 25

      FIGHT ON and TROLL ON!

  6. Wolf, are you saying that all we have to do is travel back in time, make a few adjustments for the Wazzu and ND games, and we’ll be watching USC in the Alamo Bowl? It’s crazy, but it just might work.

  7. Revisionists are funny people. And if the Nazis had gotten the A-bomb before America, we all would be speaking German.

If SC beats Washington State Kiffin is probably not fired until the end of the season

And if SC beats WSU and ND the boys’ attitude is different entering the Stanford game, and perhaps things break differently
