USC Morning Buzz: Dramatic Season In Review

A wild-and-crazy season is finally over and in many respects USC didn’t too bad under three different coaches. Here’s my position-by-position breakdown. Excerpt:

“All of this drama overshadowed a season that broke into three parts: mediocre Lane Kiffin (3-2); energized Ed Orgeron (6-2) and easy-going Clay Helton (1-0).”

  1. And another left, right, and finally one last sucker punch to poor ol’ Kiffin. Boy, don’t get on Scotty’s bad side around here.

    • The real question is why your posts and TrojanFamily’s posts have been deleted whilst the trolls remain. Guess the trolls really are Scott in disguise.

      • Because his were anti-Semitic and hateful, whereas Bruin fans are just here to discuss football! 35-14!

        • That’s funny because I’ve seen sexist, racist, and homophobic comments all within the last week from bRuins. In fact, there are very few moments on here where Ruins actually discuss football. 99% of Ruin posts, including yours, are trolling and hate filled, rather than intelligent, coherent remarks.

Remember when ThaiMex disparaged someone as gay as if it were an insult? Remember when HeySUCs said Asians were inferior and were ruining USC academics amongst his other racist rants? I do!

          • Yeah, I don’t know what that is, but assume it has something yo do with Yesterday U! I’m only here to talk about football this season. 35-14!

          • Uh uh, looks like you spilled the beans on your own sexuality here…
Take a look at this image — Y — appetizing?
Listen honey, I totally disagree with your comment that there have been sexy comments on this blog, there is nothing “sexy” about listening to you, a “feMale” telling the kid from Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory to use “lube” and to “take deep breaths” – he is right, you are totally gross!
            Go bRuins!

          • Wow. You’re ignorant and you’re proving it more each day.

Seek counseling, really. (Also, take deep breaths and lube up!)

          • Agree with you FightOn. The normal back and forth and stupidl insults are one thing….but the racism and anti-gay stuff is not acceptable…period!

Whether it comes from a Bruin or a Trojan, just shut the eff up if you want to spread that crap.

        • You racist pigs try to twist everything to try and silence the truth. Example: Used the word BAGEL. You a holes try to give it a Jewish twist in IN FACT a BAGEL is a ZERO. Wah Wah Wah. If I get banned, again, I don’t care. All you trolls are a joke anyway.

      • The only post of mine that was deleted was a response to Bucket’s profanity. Once his was removed, I removed mine (and then the mod deleted an empty post). And the mods have left my criticism of Wolf not covering USC basketball wins intact. So I have no complaints.

I don’t see the mods removing anything but anti-Semitic remarks. They leave all of Bucket/ThaiMex’s homophobic posts (and the anti-Asian stuff that fortunately has finally stopped.

Bucket used to be pretty light-hearted and funny. But he and all his logins have gotten angry and hateful. I sort of suspect his accounts have been hacked. He’s usually better than this.

        • My error. I didn’t know that you were the one that deleted the posts. I just saw a bunch of posts deleted and most were from USC fans.

I do know that my posts pointing out the blatant homophobia, sexism, and racism were deleted (of course, the responses that were hateful to me were kept. Weird.)

Whoever the mods are, if we have any, are inconsistent at best.

          • No worries. I just didn’t want anyone to think I posted anything anti-Semetic or homophobic. That would be hypocritical of me.

The deleting of posts yesterday was sort of wanton though (and definitely random).

Fight on! We’ve got your back here.

          • Random – exactly. Your posts were neutral and said nothing wrong hence why I mentioned it was BS that they were gone, but the others were up (without knowing you decided to take it down). Anyways, we have some real pieces of work as trolls here. Hopefully they tire out.

In any case, fight on as well and happy holidays!

    • No reason to leave for me JB. I think that both USC and UCLA had to overcome a lot this year and performed well under the circumstances and the challenges. i think Helton deserves credit for keeping the team focused on what could have been a disastrous bowl game with all that had gone on.

Orgeron salvaged the season to the point where I was very concerned that SC would beat UCLA and was pleasantly surprised. After SC beat Stanford, it looked otherwise. IMHO both teams, while not attaining BCS goals, have plenty of things to be proud of.

        • That’s good…or I have to send my oldest daughter down south to kick your a$$…she is tougher than both of us.

      • Just what did ucla overcome this year? They lost to the three teams that were better than they were – that’s all there is to it. They never faced anywhere near what USC has these past four years save ridding themselves of lousy coaches as USC has – get real and get factual

        • They had a teammate die for one thing. Then they lost 3 offensive linemen and had to face Stanford and Oregon on the road with 3 true freshman on the OL. Had to play SC the same way after an idiot player threw a punch.

  2. VIRTUOSO performance, wolfman!!! more Money Quotes than E.F. Hutton!!!

i find it amusing when the trOXans claim you are FINALLY doing a good job, when you are delivering it day in and day out!!

wolfman, this was perhaps your best year EVER! and that’s saying a LOT, believe me!!

between your hard hitting scoops and the Cadre’s crotch kicks, the Dummies around here were hammered into obsequious servitude!!

long live the WOLFMAN, and may forture continue to bless the Golden Age of the Cadre!!

  3. Those first few games, I thought this might be the least entertaining season in years, and I was sorry I’d bought tickets. Fortunately, Ed O was able to prevent what could have been one long dreary implosion. Even with the sanctions, SC delivered drama and entertainment this year after all, as even the honest trolls must admit.

    • i do admit there was Drama….but there was also plenty of BETRAYAL!!! Hadden betrayed the players by pouring poison in the ear of their beloved CEO, a mere hours after his loss to the the mighty Bruins!!

now is a dramatic twist, Hadden finds himself at CEO’s feet, begging him to return!!!

so when it comes to drama, you gueys are the Drama QUEENS!!!

      • Where is the blog admin? Bucket is calling people “queens”!

I will take your comment as an admission that you agree that USC provides superior entertainment even in its down years. I see it on the national sports blogs, too. On a post about UCLA football, no readers bother to comment, but on any post about USC, both fans and haters have something to say. Remember the guy who used to post on here as The Katman? He is still mixing it up with SEC fans over at collegefootballtalk.

          • I saw your comment below, but could not reply because it is in moderation. Not sure why, there’s been a lot of idiots on this blog that say bad things but never get banned. After all, bucket is still here! But, a lot of Trojan comments were deleted yesterday and many of them were neutral.

I haven’t seen HeySUCs though…maybe he’s getting the therapy he needs.

          • Probably with that phony fraud ‘probation’ and his ‘oh so nuanced’ replies to get back into another’s good graces when one of us rams it back at him

        • Blog admin? Bwahahahaha!

this is a site made for TROLLING and Scott Wolf designed it that way.

In many ways, the comments section has Wolf’s personality all over it.

      • I love how you honor your hero a Wolf with all the misspellings and grammatical errors.

Hadden loves yours gueys and your Trogan You get to ADD random capitalization in an homage to Wolf’s reinvention of English! Then you GET to make up stories like your Hero Wuffman like Hadden begging CEO to come baCk!

Merry Christmas! Long Live The Parody!

  4. Hey Wolf, how about wide receivers? I agree the O line and kicking contributed to the losses but it seemed to me when Lee was out the offense sputtered. Am interested in how Sark’s staff shakes out. Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!
