This seems to be another recruiting hire: Drevno went to high school in Torrance and attended CSUF. Years later, he ended up with Harbaugh at USD and then followed him to Stanford and then to the 49ers.
Scott will make another South Bay remark, but given the coach was announced in November, there is no time for a learning curve on recruiting. Familiarity with SoCal and pulling in kids is paramount.
I think the remark sounds tongue-in-cheek on its face. However, I don’t question that Harbaugh values Drevno. He didn’t have to take him to the NFL, right?
I’m tentatively optimistic about this hire. I think that Wilcox will do well, too (as did CP). I don’t know about the other UW hires. I assume that Sark talked to Wilcox before offering/hiring the defensive assistants. I assume that Sark wanted the offensive assistants based on his own experiences.
We’ll see how it goes. As Lane Kiffin remarked when HE first arrived, “It’s all about the W’s.”

Maybe I’m mis-interpreting what you are saying but it sounds like you are implying that harbaugh was upset and looking at Drevno as a traitor. If you read the article, Harbaugh is just saying that he believes Drevno will do a good job.
