Marques Tuiasosopo Accepts USC Tight Ends Job

The Seattle Times reported that Marquse Tuiasosopo turned down a similar spot with Washington and will join the USC coaching staff as tight ends coach. Steve Sarkisian said last week he wanted to hire Tuiasosopo in this role.

That leaves Justin Wilcox as the last Washington assistant and his hiring could finally be announced tomorrow.

The Trojans led by only three points (29-26) at halftime. Byron Wesley scored 20 points and J.T. Terrell added 18. If you went to the game and wanted something to eat at halftime, you got to wait in long lines because fewer concession stands were open.

Andy Enfield’s got another bum-of-the-month coming into Galen Center today. USC plays Howard, who is 3-12 and owns victories over powerhouses Washington College, Delaware State and the always dangerous Gwynedd-Mercy College.

USC Morning Buzz: Sore Feelings Over Clancy Pendergast

We hear the departure of defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast is leading to some hard feelings within the team from players upset over the lack of respect for the performance of the defense this season.

From Day 1, Justin Wilcox was offered the defensive coordinator’s job as he interviewed for the Boise State job and then waited for USC to negotiate his $1 million buyout. Now there is some talk Oregon might be interested.

But if this drags on much longer could it result in a player turning pro early because they are upset and not meeting their future defensive coordinator?
