USC Morning Buzz: Kennedy Pola, Tommie Robinson, Johnny Nansen Carousel

JUSTIN.DAVISImagine being a USC tailback like Justin Davis (above) and starting this month you will be on your third position coach in less than a year. For example, Davis was recruited by Kennedy Pola and a month into college saw him get fired.

Davis joined some USC tailbacks of the past at a farewell dinner for Pola last February. Then came Tommie Robinson, who generally received good reviews this season. Robinson is scheduled to clean out his office this week after being informed he is not coming back.

That means Davis and Co. will be coached now by former Washington assistant coach Johnny Nansen.  Then again, this is not much different than what former USC wide receiver Robert Woods went through. He played for John Morton in 2010, Ted Gilmore in 2011 and Tee Martin in 2012.

  1. Wolfy…you got it going! Earlier I (you, chucker, or me…I really don’t remember) posted a comment about Sarkiffian being the FOURTH HEAD COACH this season! What does this say about all the GARBAGE about Torgans for Life….and the b.s about the so called TORGAN FAMILY? We’ve seen Juniors (not Pommee) and Sophs exiting because “The Program” is a mess….I guess it’s one of those situations where it’s gonna get a whole lot worse before it gets better. Pattention recruits!
    Fit Un!

    • Thai, I’m also a time Zohar shifter today!!! I saw Yoda in the airport, he looked pretty drunk, and I owe him money from the UCLA-Duke game, so I avoided him!!!

  2. wolfman, your work ethic is staggering!!! While most trOXans are still in their Xanax-induced sleep you are up and dishing out sweeet scoops like a maniacal robotic melon baller!!!

But regardless, there is iron in your words for all Cadre to see!!!

These kids gave their heart and souls to Ciach O and his staff, and now Hadden seems determined to strike his name from every obelisk in Egypt!!!

“trOXan for life”??? these kids will tell “that’s whack, dog!!!”

  3. Yahoo NCAA Sports is reporting interest by TX Longhorns in Jim Mora – sources claims Mora is scheduled an interview this week….developing……

    • He is interviewing and SHOULD interview!!

He’s no Dummy!!! This adds to his brand and recall Tex nearly got Saban to switch!!

So ftom a branding and a courtesy standpoint I believe he should talk to Tex….but I can virtually guaran-fing-tee, he won’t go.

Hey if Scarlet Johansson called one of the Cadre and said let’s get together and discuss leaving your wife and kids to move in with me, TAKE THE meeting!!! You aren’t gonna leave your tribe for her, but you gotta have the talk!!

enjoy the glory, Jimbo, you’ve EARNED IT!!!

    • Weird. Some reports came out that Hundley might jump – if Hundley does jump, does Mora realize UCLA is at risk of being a sinking ship and so he wants to switch to a better program? Still, why would Mora even be interested given he didn’t jump for his “dream” job?

Reports say Texas has interviewed Strong and Franklin. Haden better hope it is neither or, if it is, that they both fail (or Sark matches their performance).

      • Hundley is leaving … He’d be an idiot not to …. Most teams now have him as the # 2 QB for 2014 … If he stays … He ll drop to #4

  4. Charles Bucket = ThaiMex…One sick humanoid that happens to be a true psycho bRuin…Grrrrr…PTUI!!! lmao!!!

  5. off topic…but….
do you realize what an awesome run BAMA was on….then they bring in Lane as an advisor….and lose 2 big games….

  6. Consistency is the key to success. Hopefully now the sanctions are passing and Sark will build some success and stay a long time.

  7. Imagine Scotty and Bruin pimps on a short bus on the way to Ricky Neuheisel concert and going off a bridge into the river and the last thing we hear is Bucket speaking in tongue as he drowns while clutching Scotty.

  8. Justin Davis went to Lincoln High in Stockton from 2009-2013, according to Max Preps. Lincoln underwent a coaching change for the 2004, 2006, and 2009 seasons.

It just so happens that the current coach has stayed since 2009, but given the track record of coaching changes, it was likely that the coach Davis had his freshman year would be different than the one in his senior year.

You think these guys have never had a coaching change in their life? I was the first to criticize the way Haden handled the coaching switches be it in the middle of the night to during finals. Be real – these things happen.

    • Of course they happen. I can even see them as desirable in some ways–no coach can teach everything, and the player may take something useful from each teacher.

However, players don’t seem to like change much. That makes it a minus in at least one way. I think that is Scott’s point, and it’s a reasonable one.

  9. St. Pat is a fireman. He came to put out the fire Carroll, Garrett and Bush left burning. Problem for you Trojans is that you let the fireman stay and run your business. Not a good idea.

  10. MAN, talk about desperate!!! Nubs posted 18 comments on the Mora/Tex post on Wang’s blog!!!

perfect example of trOXan panic!! all they can think about

    get your cranium checked!!
