Right before Marqise Lee (above) announced he would turn pro, Steve Sarkisian told the New York Times, “He’s our biggest recruit.”
That sounded just like former USC coach Pete Carroll. But there were also lots of rumors Lee already had an agent last week so keeping him never was a realistic possibility. Sarkisian’s biggest recruit might be cornerback Josh Shaw because he is the Trojans’ top cornerback and there will be plenty of questions about the secondary if he decides to turn pro.
Your post Scott is confusing – what time frame are you initially referring to when you stated Sark claimed Lee ‘He’s our biggest recruit.’ Was this a quote by Sark prior to Lee committing 3+ yrs. ago? Or are you (now) referring to Josh Shaw as said recruit? You also state Shaw may turn pro – syntax is always required for comprehension.
