Steve Sarkisian told Colin Cowherd he expected to start the season with 65-70 players on scholarship. With Xavier Grimble turning pro, USC can have a maximum of 72 scholarship players next season. If Hayes Pullard and Josh Shaw turned pro, it would be 70.
The way it could change is if someone like walk-on quarterback Randall Cunningham II earns a scholarship. Next year could be a good time to walk-on at USC.

65-70=2-7 less than they are allowed to sign as of now. But Wolf left out 65-70 (healthy and ready to go) scholarship players which CSS stated in his interview.
No. Look for some surprise early departures like Buck Allen, and some transfers in Spring like Wittek. sc will be lucky to have 70 scholarship guys total.

Cunningham earning a “football” scholarship won’t change anything.
SC can only add 19 scholarship recruits this season, so if Cunningham signs a football scholarship, it wont increase the number of players on the roster (bc can’t offer more than 19 which is already included in Sark’s total scholarship number). If cunningham gets a track scholarship he can’t walk on for 2 years, hence he can’t increase the number of football scholarship players this season.
Only way football scholarship number will increase over 70 this season is if a walk on, someone UNLIKE Cunningham, earns a football scholarship.
Ricky Towns, Rosen and Barnett have all scheduled ” Unofficial visit to Campus this month… I guess Towns and Barnett interested in possibly staying close to home.
