Lane Kiffin To Alabama

LaneKiffin3002Alabama seems too strong a program to be fouled up by Lane Kiffin but who knows? It’s the perfect job for Kiffin. He can sit in a hermetically sealed pressbox and not speak to anyone and stare at his play chart the entire game.

Wolf, I probably don’t need to tell you this, but just in case… It’s not too early to start checking out LAX to Birmingham flights on Southwest. Might also want to brush up on how restraining orders work in Alabama.

      Oh that’s a good one!

Kiffin is just using this as a stepping stone to become the next coach of the Patriots.

    • HeySuxx

Yeah, the Goat will be in Charge of Helium operations. One wonders though, how much the Goat’s old lady is going to enjoy shacking up in Alabama. LOL. I doubt Kiffy is worth it.

    • Saul Goodman

It wouldn’t surprise me at all

  • Hey SUCLA sucks it!

Good for him. Wish him well.

  • Golden Trojan

That’s what that cheering is about from Florida to Missouri. OK Wolf, Kiffin has officially moved on, please do the same.

  • Joe Blow

    • rusoviet

      And another one!

  • Joe Blow

Poor Wolfie and Fat Petros. Two losers. Thought they’d ruined Kiffy. Sorry boys, Kiffy IS a success.

    • HeySuxx

I believe Saban and his new Goat share the same agent.

    • marvgoux1

He just made us a failure.

  • TrojanFan3.0

Hey wolfman, Kiffin has a big middle finger for you, make that two middle fingers…ouch!!!

  • Ray Reyes

    Wish him well.

  • Ben Factor

Kiffin’s biggest failure regarding offensive strategy was not recognizing what the sanctions really meant for offensive strategy: that young players would have to be able to contribute right away, so things had to be simple; that there would be holes at various positions because of the short roster, and that strategy would have to make compensatory changes.

That will be less of a problem at Alabama, where he will coach a full roster of the very best players in CFB. It’s as much suited to Kiffin as any job could be. It’s a good opportunity for him to use his strengths, and to watch a master head coach, and learn what that is about.

    Good for him.

And I’m glad he’s gone, because he certainly wasn’t suited to his job.

A wild daydream: If Wolfie and Kiffin were both arrested for bringing down SC football, assigned to the same jail cell for years, would they become friends?

    • marvgoux1

You Sunshine Pumpers really believe a sports writer can change the destiny of SC football.

      • Gollum-Wolf

Brilliant insight as usual, Gargamel Pumper…

  • timtrojan

My bet is Scotty has this same picture up in his bedroom and kisses it every night before he goes to bed.

  • Beto Torrealba

Lane Kiffin, in whatever position, is better at his job than Scott Wolf is at his.

  • Yale O. Leftwich

All the coaches stare at their charts, even the ones so highly thought of by this websites commentator…when LK succeeds like PC,will there be any admission of being wrong…PC beats Harbaugh like a drum these days, well his athletes do anyway.I am an SC fan,not a coach or player, they all come and go…SC is the one to be loyal too, even during the hard times, try sitting in the stands back in 1950’s ,I did.A FEW GREAT YEARS,A FEW REAL LEAN YEARS.

  • B.Miller

Great opportunity for Kiffin to learn howhow to be a leader..
I would not have given him the OC position. I would have let him start as a position coach and earn his way up..
