New USC Defensive Line Coach Bo Davis Quits For Alabama

DAVISBo Davis, who was hired by USC last week, quit today and will become the defensive line coach at Alabama, according to ESPN’s Joe Schad. That’s one of the shortest tenures in USC history but still does not beat Rick Majerus, who was the basketball coach for about three days.

          But, seriously, my other posts clearly stated that he went from Alabama to Texas. Anyone who went to kindergarten, however, recognizes that it’s flaky, at best, to accept a job and leave for another opportunity a week later.

  4. Succ: the laughable University. Sark certainly inspires Succ FB family loyalty. It took Bo less the a week to smell Succ’s awful football program and negotiate an outstanding opportunity at Alabama.

I’m baffled why Mixon won’t make UCLA his top Choice…you guys are thin at RB and he would get a lot of playing time…His parents want him closer to home and don’t want to sign his LOI to UO…He wants to leave home like most recruits… UCLA could be a happy medium… Mixon love Sark and his staff, but sees the Log jam at RB…that his reason for not coming to USC.

  15. Bummer but we want staff who want to be at SC. Having Coach O back would be great as long as he understands his role and place and can accept that. Otherwise there are plenty of good D Line coaches out there who we could hire.

From ESPN: “Bo Davis previously had spent eight seasons on Nick Saban’s coaching staffs at Alabama, LSU and with the Miami Dolphins.” That might explain his decision — or maybe the idiotic Bruin trolls are right and the reason he left was because USC, their players, coaches, students, alumni, faculty, and staff are the worst on Earth.
