Professor Sanchez, I fear that something terrible has happened to Dr. Machen. I returned to Taylor’s steakhouse last night to seek out Dr. Machen and question him further regarding his knowledge of the ancient races of the Pacific islands, but he was not at his customary place in the alcove bar half-way up the stairs. Instead, a bartender stood sweeping up broken glass.
He told me Dr. Machen had gotten into a scuffle with a “great big Samoan,” and that he had ordered them both out. “Fool scratched up my bar, too,” the bartender said, and there, roughly etched into the wood, I saw the word MENEHUNE.

Whewww sounds like this coach almost turned back also due to family issues based on some reports down South. He seems to have a history of leaving his gigs, making good immediate improvements in his players. However, Wilson does have a history of not staying long at any one gig. Could he be a one’n’done?

“Big time” truly ‘Big time” – we welcome the hesitancy of Chris Wilson as he looked deep into his ‘southern soul’ and had to confront was he ready for “big time”?
His moment of doubt is known to all because so much is expected of him – as it should be – he’s about to elevate his stature three fold based on his effort with USC for the next 3-4 years.
USC the proving grounds for players and coaching personnel. A setting that has no equal anywhere ‘because’ it is in the entertainment capital of the world and, unlike that traffic jammed mess over on the westside, has studiously worked the hustings for decades to create a legacy of accomplishments, once dormant, now resurrected and on the cusp of being back at full strength.
“Big time” – the only football program this city has pro or amateur – why is that true?
Because just read all the moronic haters that roost here like male harpies – the venom and bile they wallow in – their entire being is focused on USC – that is what Mr Chris Wilson is about to be introduced to – Troy in all her splendor and the riff raff that loathes it.
