USC Scholarship Crunch

With four spots available and USC expected to get Damien Mama, John Smith and possibly Adoree Jackson, where are the available scholarships for all these other guys the Trojans are recruiting?

What about cornerback Lamont Simmons? Or safety Bubba Baker? Or countless others that I will not mention. Either USC does not expect to land them or some other recruits will need to “decommit.”

  1. I must be on the wrong blog…I came here for Kiffin and Alabama news. What’s with the USC post?

    • I knew it was only a matter of time before someone here blamed the NCAA for SC’s current woes. Suck it up and stop making excuses. I didn’t hear any SC fans complaining when you were ranked pre-season #1 in ’12.

      • Why dude? You try way too hard and we all continue to laugh at you!

PS….Why don’t you own the Rose bowl in January?

        • I could care less about you, TF, but you seem obsessed with trying hard to tell me I try too hard. Don’t try so hard, TF. Relax, enjoy a nice evening with your family.

          • Why don’t you relax on a little gutty board? Obviously, you’re trying so, so hard to actually Own The Rose Bowl, that obsessively living on a USC board is your only alternative. Maybe next year you’ll actually win the Pac-12, and you can finally relax. Sure. That will take a miracle.

        • I love when trolls comment telling people to: Get a life or get off the blog and enjoy family time

The irony is strong from the Ruins.

      • Did you know UCLA’s record in the Rose Bowl is 5-7 and USC’s is 24-9? So UCLA doesn’t exactly own the Rose Bowl.

        • 38-28. We own the Rose Bowl. You know it. Matt Barkley knows it. Also, check and see head-to-head SC-UCLA record in the RB. Yeah, like I said, we OWN the RB.

          • On the rare occasion that UCLA made it to the Rose Bowl (only 12 times), you have a losing record in your home stadium – chortle.

          • We still own you in the Rose Bowl. Our house. Back to the mausoleum with you. Snigger.

  2. It is common practice to have more offers out than spots available..that’s Recruiting 101..In case one guy doesn’t commit, another takes his place. Get it, Wolf?

  3. Ummm…. isn’t this “inside usc”? Aren’t these questins that you could/should have the answers to? Focus less on Kiffin and more on your job.

  4. No surprise that the Trojans will finish strong, and end up with a top 10 recruiting class, while on probation. Wait till probation is over, then USC is gonna really crank up the recruiting machine.

  5. Easy: USC keeps the recruits they need to help positions that are slim on the roster and then they keep the top-rated recruits after that. But, USC is not going to let a bunch of recruits decommit and then end up with a small class – they’d rather tell everyone they are wanted just in case. At this point, they need bodies and to use all of their scholarships.

  6. Sanctions suck, at least it is the last year. If Sark gets guys he wants what’s the diff.

  7. it should be clear to recruits, when the scholarships are gone ,that is the end of it…no games played by either side

  8. Hey wolf.. How about doing some investigating.. Try speaking to the staff or compliance.. Or why not the HC himself..
your writing about stuff you don’t understand or care to research..
What do you do for this paper? When was the last time you wrote a quality article?
