USC Morning Buzz: Adoree Jackson Update

Serra wide receiver Adoree Jackson is scheduled to make his college announcement next Wednesday at 11:05 a.m. from the school gym on ESPNU. So where will he end up?

Jackson’s done a great job keeping his intentions hidden. A college coach no longer under consideration for Jackson said Monday that one story going around is that Jackson’s father wants him to go to Tennessee. And yet some analysts project him to go to USC.

The next week should be interesting because he is the game-changer of the 2014 recruiting class for whoever gets him.

  • much confusion i sense in this Padawon.

delighted with the attention, he is.

so a surprise he will be planning, hmmmm?

Professor, I have not seen Doug the panhandler in nearly a week. How does one report a homeless person missing? Missing from where, the alley behind Cardinal Gardens? Dr. Arthur Machen has likewise disappeared since I spoke with him at Taylor’s. Even you may not be safe, far away as you are in your exotic time-zone.

This morning the symbols appear on a wall of the old student union, consistent with my theory that they approach the Philosophy Library. Only three hash marks remain.

      Happy Chinese New Year!

      • Nigel Tottenham

So then… you agree with the fellow who posts in the voice of the vampire puppet. But by what strange rites will the menehune greet the new year? Given the mid-winter timing of this ritual, I shudder at the suggestion of some sinister sacrifice.

As a spectator I always enjoy the drama of signing day, but the resources shelled out by each university recruiting these kids is tremendous. I wish that these guys, if they know where they’re gonna go, would stop all the charades and just commit. It allows the other coaches to move on to other prospects and saves the athletic department funds that could be used elsewhere.

I don’t blame the kids, but it’s part of the recruiting culture that I’d like to eliminate.

Not saying this is the case with Adoree, just a rant.

I agree, but we are to blame. If we’d stop caring these kids would stop stringing it out. They do it for the attention we all give them

      • Sportsblab Jones

Agreed. I can’t stand the arrogance of these high school kids. Then again, adults put cameras and microphones in front of them and fans lap it up so we’re all complicit. Still, I wish someone would tell these kids to cut the theatrics.
