USC Morning Buzz: Tosh Lupoi Cleared? Potentially Good For Steve Sarkisian

TOSH

There were some reports Wednesday night that former Washington assistant coach Tosh Lupoi would be cleared of any wrongdoing regarding allegations he paid for online classes and tutoring for a recruit.

Lupoi is a free agent following a mutual separation agreement with Washington. It is too late obviously for Lupoi to come to USC. But if he is cleared, this would also let Steve Sarkisian off the hook for any potential sanctions from the NCAA. So that would come off as a huge relief to Sarkisian.

Meanwhile, backup quarterback Max Wittek said Wednesday he would transfer to another school. And linebacker Fred Warner made his official visit to USC on Wednesday. He is currently committed to BYU.

    • He had just finished cleaning the toilets after the bar closed. Give him a break. He has to be at McDonald’s in a few minutes for the breakfast rush. Poor guy, going to work drunk everyday too.

      • Right before the bar closed, I left some massive fart-art in shitters #2. I’m sure bucket was not happy about that.

  1. Guess the NCAA couldn’t find a couple of felons to lie about him.

    Who’s Wittek?

  2. And you’ve got NO tradition, and that’s why you’re so driven by that dreaded inferiority complex to bark total nonsense around here, right?

  3. Didn’t pass reading? Not a part of the great USC football tradition, nor will he be. Sorry, your little put down just didn’t quite pan out this time.

  4. Fully expected Wittek to leave. Great move to get his degree, then move on. Best of luck, just don’t transfer to a Pac12 school.

  5. What a surprise an article on the USC blog about a former Washington coach that says “Oh and by the way last year’s backup quarterback is leaving.”

  6. Mr. Jenkins would find it perfectly in keeping with clueless Cal AD Sandy Barbour if the Golden Bears welcomed Lupoi back into the Berkeley fold.

  7. Scotty:
How about a little insight on how the bruin coaches are the ones who gave this info to LA Times to try and get Sark.

  8. I love how this low level beat writer shows that he is butt hurt about the Max Wittek news. He mentions it at the end of a blog post about UW Football. It’s because the high level beat writers at the other LA paper were the first to report the news.

      • I’m OK with the name. To Scott’s credit, some of the non-USC items he brings up are also brought up by other posters on the Rivals and Scout USC boards. So he isn’t way off. I just wish there was some sort of constraints on the trolls. Not sure what, as I’m opposed to censoring, I just get sick and tired of their sheeeeit. If they had something constructive to say, and were mature, OK, but this is really out of hand.

    • Careful now. You are likely to have your posts deleted for pointing out that AD Gargamel sucks at his job. In addition to having large breasts and no hair, Gargamel is also really thin-skinned.

    • Same here. I guess Gargamel doesn’t like people pointing out that he posts irrelevant, non-USC information far more than anything USC-related.
As well as having breasts and no hair, I guess Gargamel also has really-thin skin.

  9. What’s so big about Tosh Lupoi ? Somebody please tell me , because I’m tired of hearing his name .

  10. NOW THATS INSIDE SC information!

Fred Warner would be a solid pick up.. 2015 looks like USC is trying to stacking up on DT’s..
