USC Recruits USC (Con’t.)

Here’s an example a USC coach gave me of how powerful USC can be. Pete Carroll wins the Super Bowl. Malcolm Smith is the Super Bowl MVP. Marcus Allen carries the Lombardi Trophy on to the field.

This spectacle occurred a few days before Signing Day. And Adoree Jackson admitted his favorite was former USC tailback Reggie Bush. This a tough case for other schools to overcome.

    Tough to overcome indeed…

      • 4 of the last 6 USC QBs have started in the NFL, and all 6 got contracts. That’s a good track record.

        • Barkely has a contract. BFD, he’s cashing checks for standing around. What is Barkster, #3 or 4 on the depth chart. Name one SUCC QB who has ever started a SB game as the #1 team QB. Maybe Rodney “Suitcase” Peete might have mopped up in some team’s SB loss.

          • Name a fucIa QB currently on an NFL roster. USC gives them the opportunity, what they do from there is up to them.

          • So you rag on Trojan QBs. but the ruins produce even less, that’s funny. And your argument is that Aikman won some superbowls. Big deal, USC has the most HOF players of any school. Keep trying SUCCLA, it is entertaining.

          • Merv, I haven’t mentioned Aikman once. You’re the one mentioning Akiman. Try to stay on point. I have been posting about SB SUCC QB’s period. No need for me to boast about well known facts.

          • I was just going to say this. The only reason we are focusing on USC QBs in the NFL is because HeySuxx can make a counter about Aikman. Please. Tell me about how many USC players in the NFL there are compared to anyone else, how many first rounders we have had, how many hall of famers we have had, etc. USC dominates the NFL across different positions. But, you know, UCLA has Aikman who last played….what…around 15 years ago? Yeah. Lulz.

          • And Aikman played with TONS of pro-bowlers that made him look good. Not the other way around.

He was never a drop back QB who’d throw for 400 yards and carry a team on his back. He had Emmitt Smith, an all-pro line, and a great defense. He actually threw lots of interceptions in post season games.

On the other hand, Carson Palmer player with mediocre talent around him and was still able to put up impressive numbers.

          • Gary Klein, you really don’t know much about football. The Cowboys built their team around Aikman. Phoenix tried to do the same with Matt and he just wasn’t up to it. Cincy did it with Carson and he enjoyed success but wasn’t a champion. Aikman was. Sad but true. You diminish all the real accomplishments of our program when you spew your nonsense.

          • “The Cowboys built their team around Aikman. Phoenix tried to do the same with Matt and he just wasn’t up to it.”

And you diminish real critical thinking when you compare the 1990’s Cowboys to the Arizona Cardinals of any era. They didn’t try to build anything around Matt Leinart. He actually had a pretty good rookie season under Coach Denny Green, but his kicker and defense screwed the pooch too many times. Remember the Monday Night game against the (would-be) NFC Champion Bears? He sliced and diced that defense and led them to a big lead. Then, his defense crumbled and his kicker choked (one of many chokes that season). A year later, Green gets fired, Matt breaks his collarbone, and Ken Wisenhunt, who hated Matt and his “silver spoon lifestyle,” inserts Kurt Warner into the lineup.

Now I don’t think I’m telling tales out of school when I say that Kurt Warner is a Hall-of-Fame caliber quarterback who led 3 teams to Super Bowls. Is there any shame in getting beat out by an all-timer? Not really.

Matt leaves Arizona after Kurt retires and Wisenhunt hears of Matt thinking that he’s “earned” the right to start. So the Cardinals, who had been “built around the quarterback” really flourished once they got rid of “Cancer Leinart” right? No, the Cardinals did what the Cardinals always do. They stunk out the joint. Proving that Leinart didn’t sabotage the Cardinals – the Cardinals sabotaged the Cardinals.

          • You really think Aikman carried those teams on his back like Marino?

Using your logic, Emmitt Smith, the all pro line, Dieon Sanders, Irvin, and tons of other pro bowlers had nothing to do with it?

I doubt you even watch any of the games. My buddy is a die-hard Cowboys fan and he doesn’t even think of Aikman as highly as you do.

A good QB, yes. But not any better than even Roger Starbach.

          • condoms just love living in the past, stick to the present, oh wait, no wonder, 38-28 and 35-14 OUCH!!!

          • Presently/currently UCLA owns USC, in football, basketball, and baseball. End of discussion!!!

          • At least numerous USC QBs get into the League, making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year – way more than some Troll like you will ever see. The NFL wants nothing to do with little gutty QBs. You can’t even suit up there or try out. In fact, USC probably has twice as many players in the League as the little gutties, the team that can’t even win a conference championship or get into a Rose Bowl. Why are the little gutties always so mediocre? You win a couple of consecutive games vs USC and all is well in has-been Westwood. Too bad you can’t ever beat the good teams any year. Ever. Ha, ha, ha. That’s just who you are.

          • And how many of those QBs have won a Superbowl, Jack? Zero. Just ask Troy Aikman. Bruins win AGAIN!

          • No, that would be Michael Sam, who might sit on his “coach”. And what do you do, on Sundays? What team do you play for?

          • Still looking for the missing link? It must suck to always be out in left field looking for the glove

          • Name an SC quarterback who’s ever won a Superbowl. Troy Aikman is laughing at your sorry program.

          • Wrong. Was in the Rose Bowl at halftime twice this past season. You have no idea the pride he has as a Bruin. Nice try.

          • Aikman didn’t even choose ucla. He chose Oklahoma. Only after it was apparent that he had no shot at starting for the wishbone team (you’d think he would have considered it before) and seeing the USC job locked up (thanks to a USC all-timer, Rodney Peete) he slummed it with the gutties for a few years. Even your most successful player in program history didn’t want to come to Westwood. He went there because he had no choice!

          • Peete could beat the gutties with one hand tied behind his back and a case of the measles.

Plus, he married Holly Robinson and played in the League for longer than any bruin QB, save Aikman – so I think Rodney did pretty well for himself.

          • USC has produced 3 Super Bowl MVPs, and it’s rare when a Trojan isn’t playing in the Super Bowl.

One thing the Super Bowl has shown, is that the winning QB can come from anywhere, Delaware, Miami (Ohio), even the Arena League.

How many starting QBs are produced by a school is a better measurement of how well a school prepares their QBs.

          • So your answer is no SUCC QB has ever started a SB as the #1 QB. Not one SUCC QB has ever played in a SB. Oh and BTW, I’m not quite sure, but I think QB’s have won the most SB MVP awards.

          • Looks like another pissing contest. But for some reason, you’re dripping instead of squirting. Sounds like a female issue….ouch!!!!

          • You’re blind. Carson Palmer is better than ANY Bruin QB that has gone to the NFL.

Dare to compare the numbers against any of yours? Thought so.

          • Better than Aikman? Bob Waterfield? Billy Kilmer at least led his team to the Super Bowl, Gary Klein. Step away from the crack pipe. Your rah rahism is an embarrassment to real SC fans.

          • Bob Who??

We’re talking in the modern era — not your age of leather helmets.

Aikman’s 3 titles? Why not say Brad Johnson and Trent Dilfer are great quarterbacks as well?

So, you think Carson Palmer was garbage?

btw – look at your posts from an outsider’s view. You’ll see an insecure man always trying to prove how smart he is.

How’s that working for you in real life?

          • I’m an embarrassment? You, the sole supporter of Wolf and has no friends in life or on these boards actually said that?

            BWHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

      • The University of Should’ve Could’ve

        Carson A.K.A “1 and out”
        Matt A.K.A “Towels anyone”
        Booty A.K.A “Who’s that”
        Mark A.K.A “A$$$$$ to Mouth”
        Barkley A.K.A “Lefty”

          • I mean we are talking about QBs.. .no?

Not to mention Bill Kilmer another UCLA QB to start in a super bowl

Poor little Arturito, he doesn’t realize when they speak of SC QBs in the league is only to tell jokes… .

          • Sure do you want to start with playoff wins.. .MVPs… .SB appearances. ..SB Rings you know that stat that puts players on a different elite status in the league???

WARNING: Crotch kicks can lead to brain failure

          • Funny….When people talk about Aikman….they never mention UCLA….Aikman never thanks UCLA….Funny how that works out.

          • Using your logic, we can use Trent Dilfer and Brad Johnson as “great quarterbacks”, right?

          • They have reached and conquered the Mt. Everest of their sport, they call it the SB, something that all the “elite QBs” that have came out of South Central have yet to sniff… .

Oh mercy nurse.. .that tickles all over and I mean allllllllll over.. .

          • Ok. I’ll remember that when seeing your screen name.

SaferInWestwood: the guy who thinks Trent Dilfer is one of the all-time greats!

Then again, you’re a troll, so can’t say anyone was disappointed.

Trolls are on the same level as people who have s*x with farm animals and browse child p*rn on the net.

      • And how many QB’s has SUCLA Put in the NFL in the past 20 yrs again?
        Dont worry, we’ll wait!

  2. Sure beat being a bel-airian – save for Aikman I can’t remember any impact player out of ucla my sucla – if so they’d be a ‘talking head’ – as Gertrude Stein said of Oakland the same applies to bel-air tech “…there is no ‘there’ there…”

    • Comrade, remember it’s better to remain silent and considered stupid then shoot your mouth off and remove any doubt that you’re in fact, terribly stupid.

    • Jay Schroeder.

      LMAO!

Seriously, MGD has actually had a better NFL career than Reggie Bush.

      • If we’re talking about Super Bowls, Reggie Bush helped lead the Saints to a Super Bowl victory. When did MGD pick up his trophy? You know, since Super Bowls are the end-all/be-all of individual accomplishments.

      • Right, our “loser” coach is undefeated against USC, 18 of our 22 starters have never lost to USC, and our program will get the three-peat this November in the Rose Bowl when Hundley once again toys with the SC defense.

        • two games …. two years and yet no Rose Bowl or Major bowl BID… no Heisman….Yet the country feels we have a better shot a the PAC than you bums

          • And what “country” would that be, Canada? Preseason polls (ESPN) have Stanford #3, Oregon #4, UCLA #8, and USC #14. Wrong again! Number four for the gutty little Troggies, heading up the second tier of the conference.

    • When your players stop taking cheap shots, then you can talk about dirty players, okay? Meanwhile, what’s happened in your life that made you come back to this blog? Lost your job? Wife left you for the gardener? Or did one of your other SNs get banned?

      • Yeah, we kicked your bass 35-14 because we are dirty. It would have helped if your players hadn’t have given up by the end of the third quarter. Whine on. LULZ.

  3. Wait I heard an interview with Terry Donahue over the holidays about how to cook the perfect turkey dressing. By the way the rumor is that Troy Aikman and Michael Sam have a lot in common.

  4. AAAAHahaha he really said Reggie Bu$h, hold on.. .hold on my sides hurt, I wonder what kind of questions will come up once the NCAA sees the courtside pics. Adoree is posting everywhere. . ..

Christmas already but we’re only in feb… .

WARNING: Crotch kicks may cause brain failure

    • Nada will come up… And you’re right about x-mas …the next group of Serra 5 stars are already lining up to play in Cardinal and Gold…As your donkey alumni coach can’t seem to steer them to westwood…. Even he know the way to the LEAGUE is at USC!!!!!

      • Rec/team/5* in the last 4 recruiting classes

        (7-2) STA… .2
(8-1) ASU… .0 “The enema under the Sun”
        (7-2) OR … .3
(6-3) UCLA… .6 “The curb stomping in peezzzz alley”
        (6-3) USC … .13
        (5-4) WAS… .0
        (4-5) OSU… .0
        (4-5) WSU… .0 “The muh fuggin Cougars”

AAAAHhahaha.. .Mercy nurse, oh man stop it imma almost peezzzz my pants!

  5. Name the only USC or UCLA quarterback to ever win a Superbowl…. I’ll wait. So funny to hear SC fans “gloating” about their NFL QBs, none of which have won a Superbowl.

  6. SUCc de trop you do realize Troy Aikman never beat USC in his college career right? There is no way you can compare QB history between USC and ucla when your greatest QB never never beat his archival one time!

  7. Why does Wolf need a “coach” to give him what was obvious upon watching, and a week later??? Some of you are so sad to even applaud this post – can’t all see what this person is doing? Its terrible I tell you

  8. They win. All those bruin faithful that post more on this blog than on theirs. They win. Aikman. The anomaly we just can’t counter. Even though he only played for them for 2 years after transferring from Oklahoma because ucla wasn’t his first choice. Even though he was 3rd in the Heisman voting to USC’s Rodney Peete’s 2nd place. Even though his NFL career was shorter than Peete’s. Even though he wasn’t the only pro-bowler on the team (it is a team sport, right?). Even though he had Trojans on those same NFL teams. Even though he never played in the Rose Bowl game like Peete did, twice. Even though he doesn’t have any NCAA or Pac12 records, unlike the numerous Trojans that dominate the record-books. Even though he was the number 1 NFL draft pick in 1989, and only 3 Trojans were picked #1 overall before he was and only 2 Trojans have been picked #1 overall since. Even though he was a Super Bowl MVP, just as 3 Trojans have been also. Even though he is one of 14 ucla College HofF players, just like the 28 USC College HofF players. Even though he is one of 5 ucla players in the NFL HoF like the 11 USC NFL HoFers. Aikman. We have no answer. His first name might as well be Trump Card, but instead it is a Tribute to Troy!

    • And Two other distinctions, SUCC has not had a QB start a SB. Aikman is the lead analyst on Fox NFL games and ironically the last SB. On the other hand, Rodney Peete, covered in SUCC glory, is a gofer for Jim Hill.

  9. Don’t forget the pictures of OJ in the white Bronco mocking the Denver ground game on all social media!

  10. SO WHAT YOUR SAYING WOLF IS NO MATTER WHAT…
USC OWNS ALL OF THE WEST COAST! NOT JUST LA!
    Great talk!
