    • That was last year. Each year they assign a new #1. Funny how that works out.

Trivia question: who was UCLA’s last #1 recruit?

        • I believe that Helen was staying with the topical sport…that be football. But no prob. Hoops is cool. Schabazz is/was indeed an excellent player but he was not the #1 recruit in the nation. We have to go back to 1967 for that…a gentleman named Lew Alcindor along with his stable mates Shack, Kenny, Lucius, and Mike. For shame! You should be more aware of your proud heritage.
Trivia question-Schabazz…What collegiate team did his father play basketball for? Relax! Take your time.

          • Shabazz was no. 1 on Rivals.

His dad Ron played for USC; not sure if that was before or after Ron pled guilty to federal fraud charges.

      • Bucket can’t answer that one because he is really Wolf, but lbc is really Gary Klein. All the local beat writers troll this blog with like 50 screen names.

Did you see someone caught Wolf asking a quesiton during the Monday chat and then Rob Fukuzaki answered it. FACT.

          • for some reason that just remined me of when Earl Sheib died, Healy did an obit going way back on the history of his Scheib sound bites….he ended it by saying “Earl Schieb, dead at 91….RIIIIIGGGHT!!!”
not even the jaded Jezro could deny how sweeeet that was!!!

          • I don’t recall hearing that but it sounds like it was quite clever. However, by the time it had been played twenty times, it would have become tiresome.

          • You don’t remember VB’s Office Plant? I think he was a USC fan who parodied a commenter duo over on the UCLA blog. This goes back all the way to when Brian Dohn was running that blog. UB and VB were (I think) father and son Bruin fans, and they would frequently post about the UBTA — the UB Tailgating Association, or something like that. They used to try to get the UCLA bloggers to come tailgate with them. Anyway, someone (never knew who or how many) used to lampoon them by creating a whole fake posse, like VB’s Office Plant and VB’s Junior College Transcript and stuff like that. I don’t know if VB and UB still post on Wang’s blog under different names; I haven’t seen them over there in a long time. I don’t think they came over to Wolf’s blog much. Some of the UCLA fans on here probably remember them better than I do.

          • Nothing has been debunked.
I am merely following your lead and treating this as all fun and games, unless I get upset about something.

    • Liar, liar, pants on fire.
On todays “USC Morning Buzz”…you stated that if you were told what ‘BRONY’ stood for, you would not post anymore today. BRONY was defined there and yet, here you are again. Is there no honor among trolls?
I can appreciate that it must be so frustrating each time Helen tears you a new one , but be a good boy and make your word your bond. Thank you so much.

  1. Max Browne was rated the # 1 QB prospect just two short Yeats ago , and I have not heard his name being mentioned lately at all by the new staff . So Ricky Town’s ranking doesn’t mean diddly squat !!!!

  2. Just another overrated Southern Cal commit, who will end up elsewhere after another 7 win Sarkiffen season!
