Top Pac-12 Quarterbacks Of BCS Era

Athlon has another one of its lists and this one focuses on quarterbacks. No surprise that Matt Leinart is No. 1 though as time passes, I tend to think Leinart’s reputation diminishes. Is he really better than Andrew Luck or did he just have a better offense around him?

Carson Palmer is No. 3 on the list, which can be found here.

  1. I’m not sure Barkley should be on the list. His numbers were up because he started for four years, but he never made the jump to elite college QB like many of the others on the list.

  2. Well Scott, when you win 2 national championships, a Heisman Trophy, and 34 straight games, I’d say you deserve to be ranked ahead of somebody who won zero national national championships, zero Heisman Trophies, and whose longest winning streak was 17 games.

You are so dumb it’s unbelievable sometimes.

      • We had all those wins vacated over Matt’s last two seasons and lost the BCS title thanks to selfish Reggie Bush.

      • Look who was allowed out of their cage today.
You’re right, he didn’t win any national champsionships.
He did win two national championships, though.
        The A.P. titles stand.

    • Linthard the Great NFL QB. Linthard peaks at SUCC, and will for the rest his life be wandering around telling people SUCC stories featuring the Lint Man at QB. The tall SUCC tale I always will want to hear is the Texas NC game, where Lint man loses the NC game with 6 minutes to go and a 12 point lead.

  3. I can understand not putting Dustin Frode on that list, but where is Golan Globus?

  4. John David Booty anyone? Two Rose Bowl wins, 21-3 as a starter … not good enough for Athlon?

      • Your gutty littleness is showing again. That was mere mirage on what was a vast, barren plain of Dan Guerrero’s bad decisions. It would be better for you if you tried to forget it all.

          • Yeah, it was a good win … but they finished 7-6 that year and got smoked by a crummy Florida State team in the Emerald Bowl. Westwood acts like one win somehow justifies a 13-year period of unconscionable sucking.

          • I thoiught it was a fluke, we should have beat them by 50.We played down to their level of crumminess, like we were in a trance. All that talent wasted.

    • Or the NFL Viking. No QB’s be do better in the NFL than SUCC’s legendary QB’s. They always win the best as in college, but few games in NFL competition.

    • No but Hundley apparently is … great talent , but it just shows…beat USC and your a great

  5. Leinart is easily No. 1, 2 NC, heisman, almost won a third. Arguably the greatest college career of all time.

  6. It is no surprise that as time passes, your hatred toward Leinart has not diminished.

  7. Well we all know the one who did a ‘bel-air tech – you rock’ effort – Cade “bar the door” McKnown. There it was 1998 – inaugural BCS Championship Game – rainy poo hits Miami and the bel-airians ‘post-pone’ – chante down in late November – everything is looking so great – uh oh spaghetti o’s.

The parking place clown lost the game and then did another ‘faux’ handicap stunt at the Bears pre-season camp in 1999 – goota love that cade “It was in our grasp then suddenly we went ‘u clowns lost again’….why?

    • But as usual Crumblerade forgets a minor historical Cade statistic. Cade never lost a UCLA/SUCC game (4 – 0).

  8. Matt Leinart wasn’t even the best quarterback on his team when he was at USC ….lol !!!! Remember Matt Cassel ? The one that is still active in the NFL . whatever quarterback was starting at El Camino college at the time, could have guided the Trojans to a championship that year …lol !!!

  9. Leinart was incredible– pretty, sweet touch, and clutch i.e. ND with the game on the line, and he had the Texas game won for 3 national titles in a row except for Bush’s hot dog fumble and the swiss cheese defense

Say what you will SUCLA scum, but you cannot tarnish the memories of those great teams

    • Reggie Bush cheated by pushing Lintman into the ND end zone. That was Reggie earning his salary. BTW where is Reggie’s Heisman Trophy?
