USC Defeats Oregon State In Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Title Game

The Trojans defeated Oregon State, 71-62 as Ariya Crook scored 16 points. USC (22-12) trailed by as many as 11 points in the first half before coming back. This is the first conference women’s basketball tournament title for the Trojans.

It is also a feather in the cap for new coach Cynthia Cooper. Now I think comparing the men’s and women’s teams is apples and oranges especially since the women’s program had more talent for Cooper to inherit.

But here’s an important distinction: Some of the women complementary players have gotten noticeably better as the season progressed to help Crook and star forward Cassie Harberts.

Can you say anyone on the men’s team has gotten better?

    • Be careful….GoTroy22 and Rusoviet don’t like any lesbian connotations. It looks like all the women had to do was upgrade their Cooper.

      • Looks like godouche22/marvgoux/Trojan Reach Around had NOBS’ post banished…talk about a sad little man

  1. Wouldn’t be scottie without peppering a good news story with his version of bad news. We love you scottie!

  2. Its obvious…She can coach. As for the Men’s team? Fire this guy now!!

  3. Seriously? The women win the conference championship and make the NCAA tourney and Wolf uses it to troll the men’s team? Why not just ask if Lane Kiffin could lead the women to the conference title.

Forget Wolf. Fight On,Women of Troy! An excellent victory and a great guide to how Cynthia Cooper is turning the program into a winner. Let’s have a nice run in the tourney and build this program back to its previous greatness. We are proud of you, Women of Troy!
